Quote:So the Ravens and Jags pass on Gase, something must be up with him that is turning teams off

Maybe that he has 1 year OC experience with Peyton Manning, and all kinds of weapons at his disposal on offense.

Quote:I wonder if the Jaguars are looking at Gase as a "QB coach/co-coordinator".

Olsen certainly has more experience as OC.

Quote:Seriously, offensive coordinators are only as good as their QBs allow them to be.  If Olson had coached Peyton Manning the last two years while Gase had to coach Terrell Pryor, which guy do you think Jags fans would be chomping at the bit for?

It's good that he was on a successful team, but I got the impression from the Gus Bradley show that he wanted someone who could do more with less.  Anybody can do more with a lot.
Everyone chillout and lets wait for something official. Fake twitters, Bad sources, Bad reporting, etc.
WalterFootball.com just gave the hiring an A grade.

We're officially screwed.

If I had to guess They have already hired Gase and Olsen and are waiting until Gus can announce it after practice.

Well when is Senior Bowl practice over?
What if we brought in Gase as QB coach? Just sayin'

Quote:The longer no one else reports this, the weirder it is. Usually all the big time reporters will parrot one another within a few minutes of the first one breaking a story. It's been an hour since La Canfora tweeted it and no one other than Aaron Wilson has really even made mention of it.

But La Canfora can see into the future, remember when he said the Jags would move to London in 2021:

<p class="">To be clear, cuz Jags fans seem to need help w/this, I'd still consider JAX strong candidate 4 eventual move 2 London.Hit me back around '21

I am 100% sure and willing to bet $50 Gase will not accept a lower position than OC/HC this year. I honestly don't think it wise for Gase' career path to enter Jax. All he needs is to land with a team that can get him one good year and he'll be a HC next season. (No, Bradley will not be fired this next season, The team will be much improved)
Somebody ask the guy from Fox whose name escapes me

I'll the surprised if Adam Gase doesn't land an NFL OC job.   However, if Gase doesn't land an OC job,  Jacksonville would make sense for him.  Both from the standpoint of the major upside potential Blake Bortles has and that Olson worked with Gase on the Steve Mariucci /  Dick Jauron Coaching Staff in Detroit.

People said that about Doug Marrone a few weeks ago. As the positions vanish I'm sure he'd rather be in a job than out of one. The only other team afaik who have interviewed him are Baltimore and they've got for Triestman pretty quickly.

My sources are telling me the Jaguars have hired BritishJag as new HC, Gus Bradley will take over as waterboy. More at 10.

There we have it folks!
The fact that Ian Rapoport (who is usually on top of everything and accurate) isn't reporting it and PFT hasn't run an article leads me to believe there's more going on behind the scenes, wouldn't be shocked if the Jags brought on both Olsen and Gase as "co-coordinators".
