Lou Brown: I have something I think you all ought to know about. It seems that Mr. Khan doesn't think too highly of our worth. He put this team together because he thought we'd be bad enough to finish dead last, knocking attendance down to the point where he could move the team to London... and get rid of all of us for better personnel.

Roger Dorn: Even me?

Lou Brown: Even you, Dorn.

I trust Gus.
I don't trust gus so that leaves me in a bad spot
I would've even taken a newbie like Lynn or Wilson over Olson. At least they have a chance at not being terrible. And it's not like Olson has just been bad once. He's had shot after shot and been terrible everywhere.
Quote:He must have promised Gus that he wouldn't belittle Bortles in practice. Gase probably couldn't make that promise.
Well, he was the coach linked to the "Blame Gabbert" comments. Maybe after he's done here, he'll be linked to "Flake Bortles"

PFT comments...Twitter...you are so concerned with what the cool kids think, aren't ya?

Well, that, and history.
He promised Gus he would buy the sprinkles and chocolate syrup.

Didnt your sources Tell you it wasnt the OC job Olson was hired for?

No sprinkles. Sprinkles are for winners.
Well now nfl.com is reporting Olsen is the new OC
"We really felt like Greg was the best fit culturally here. We share a lot of the same philosophies on offense."
How painful. We just hired an OC who got fired from a comparable 3 win team across the country. Good Lord. There is really no way to sugarcoat this one.

Hey he was calling plays for the 31st ranked offense and we fired the guy ranked 32nd. Improvement!

I mean, Gus' head is sitting under the guillotine right now and THIS is the guy he hires? I have seen checkout stand clerks who can call a better offense.
meh my enthusiasm for the season just died, oh well was nice knowing you Gus, I actually wanted you to stay.
There are the usual suspects on here who will insult those who do not agree with the hire and point to the vast knowledge a head coach whom has won 7 out of 32 games has over us minions.
I really don't want to be negative or jump the gun or whatever like this. But I honestly have to ask. This is almost too obvious a bad move, it's literally the worst more underwhelming thing they could have done by hiring Olsen. It's almost a farce. It's like they're trying to lose. Olsen has only had ONE good season as a OC in the NFL, has had multiple chances to show he can be a good OC and has failed every time. So I don't understand what exactly makes them think bringing this guy in is a good idea. He's basically Jedd Fisch if Jedd Fisch was already a known commodity when we hired him. I don't see any way this ends in anything other than failure and that would mean the end of Gus here in Jacksonville.

I have not seen many. Even over at BigCatCountry, which is usually positive, it is Defcon 1.
the Olson hire seems like Gase just declined our offer, leaving Olson as the only other option.
Not impressed by the hire, but getting Doug Marrone is a positive surprise.
Gus will sink or swim with Bortles.
