More same ole and same ole. Just have to suffer through until some reward of fan loyalty down the line.

oh and they all have three contracts.

Quote:I wish they would have just hired Coughlin, though... Oh well. Another wasted year or two is lined up for us.

Most likely. I really want to be optimistic about the future of our team, but with all of the lip service that's been served up the last few weeks it's hard for me to think that next season won't be more of the same bad football that we've seen for the last decade. I'll be a fan as long as the team is here, but with the moves this team makes they sure make it hard for some fans to rally behind the cause.
Mike Smith with Tom Coughlin sounds alot better.
Quote:Alex Smith could at least throw a football back then.

And so could Bortles in 2015? Your point? Oh that's right there is no point. He deserves at the very least training camp competition to prove 2015 wasn't fools gold. The guy isn't our savior but he's not completely unredeemable either.

If all i was looking at was a stat line I would say he is redeemable. Unfortunately for BBINT, I watch the games. The eye test is a total fail.

He has this ugly hitch in his long windup where the ball drops real low and slow, reminds me of Tebow passes, and that is his natural throwing motion, it is awful. You might be able to get him to stop doing that some of the time but eventually they always revert back to the natural mechanics, especially under duress.

The eye test this year, yes I could see that. But keep in mind he was playing with goofy Gus leading the way; he was told by Olson he didn't need to workout this offseason like last; and he was injured. These may have contributed to the dud year he had. And I don't know if correlation necessarily equals causation here but I found it interesting that with Marrone leading the charge he had two of his best games since the season opener. So bring on competition and give him his last shot. Do or die time

There's too much passion in that ledge jump...

It's more like this:

Hahahahahahaha. The culture stays the same.

The culture on this team could've stood an hour with a British nanny.

Yogurt has more and better culture than this team currently has.

That hitch and windup has been there since at least college. It is legit how he throws the ball. If Marrone had the secret sauce to fix BBINT he should have fixed him earlier. I'm not buying it actually, the team got a small lift the last 2 games but it isn't anything real.

The more I hear the more I lose hope. I don't think most the players on this team want to win.
When is the press conference? Sorry didn't read the whole ting
Quote:Yeah what a horrible scheme. 6th in defense is just horrible!!
You're biting onto the perpetual negativity that a few people spew here.

It's not rational...

I get it. But it is apparently their opinion....

I just refuse to allow it any space in my head.

Not to be argumentative, but between the offense turning the ball over on their side of the field and the special teams coverage being terrible it's not like opposing offenses had to go very far hence the low amount of yards given up by the defense.

There is nothing more rational than looking at past performance. Irrational is thinking a 3-13 team that promotes an assistant with a history of mediocrity is going to be any good.

This^ We didn't give up that many big plays because it was much easier to dink and dunk us.

Sacks were low turn overs were low our overall rating is misleading.

Edit: to add we were 25th in points against which at the end of the day points are all that matters. Yeah we were 6th it pass def but we still couldn't stop them from scoring.
