Nothing on Jaguars.com nor NFL.com about an official hire. May be jumping the gun here.

We had our best offensive outings the 2 games he took over. Blake was INT free and the offense as a whole looked significantly better.

Let's not forget that multiple other teams were interested and he's had success everywhere he's gone.

I do believe he needs a strong DC to change the scheme around, but Marrone is not a bad hire.

Also, maybe the search firm looked at everyone and said "hey this guy here is pretty good". He's a complete 180 from Gus. It's hilarious to watch you guys freak out.
A classic cuzjaguars moment. So much for making the playoffs for the next 2-3 years. Now I'm in the fire Caldwell camp.

Quote:No. Sam Darnold. Jackson is not an NFL QB.

Yes, but we're the Jags
I hate to be disappointed because we never gave this guy a real shot.. but.. I am extremely disappointed. I really do not think he has what it takes because of the coaching staff he will keep around him including the OC..

Quote:Marrone won in Buffalo - he gave the Bills their first winning season in years.  With Marrone, Bortles played much better, as did the team.

Is that why the Bills organization fired him and the Jaguars lost against the sorry [BLEEP] Colts?
Jags have to start figuring out the direction of the this roster. They had to hire someone soon

We also surrendered a big lead in pure typical Jaguar fashion. This is all you needed to see to know that Marrone the same guy.
Marrone DID improve the team in just a short while and with nothing to play for. So I'm excited to see what he'll bring.

What I'm worried about tho is this culture.

Hopefully Marrone addresses that it's going to be a completely different culture. I don't want any Gus nuances lingering in our locker room

2 games is an insufficient sample size.

No decent coaches wanted to be hamstrung with Bortles, and Caldwell wasn't having it any other way.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

Use google before you make yourself look any dumber than you already look.
Needed that search firm to hire someone already on staff. That's our front office. Clueless. #Jaguars

I highly doubt Caldwell is shooting from the hip here.  If Marrone fails, there's a good chance Caldwell is following him on the way out.

Lol. Khan wasted 250,000$ to hire a consulting firm so he could keep Marrone. What a joke.
Quote:The hire doesn't bother me as much as them not firing Bradley earlier and giving Marrone more time to show what he had. Because of that, it all looks ridiculous.

This. I just dont understand why it took so long to get rid of Gus. Our Front office handled this whole situation wrong.

Then SHAME ON THE JAGUARS for not giving him more time. Gus should have been fired a few times during the season, but legitimately after the TNF shellacking.

You are basing the improvement on 2 games? 1 in which we were up by 14+ and still lost?
