This is all that matters to me this off season. It's a major sigh of relief if they can work this out here soon with Allen.

Being able to secure your premier pass rusher for five years while also ensuring your WR1 is still here for at least one more year with the potential to secure him for potentially three years is a major win for this franchise.

It would go a long way towards enabling them to focus on other areas of need. Now you don't have to invest one of your first four picks on a receiver. Which in turn, enables you to draft a potential starter on the interior of the offense or a premier secondary player on the opening night of the draft, etc.

Another WOW what is Rent Baalke doing??

Looks like Ridley probably going to walk.
1010 is saying Allen is expected to be tagged.

Gosh, if only there was another thread which has been following Josh Allen’s signing.

Yup. Tagged it is.

What a botch by Baalke. Waiting so long to start negotiations and also not extending him last off season.

Now they're likely to lose Ridley.

It takes longer to begin a thread than to post in an existing one. But okay.

It happens, I guess, when your owner continues to settle for incompetence.

We'll see what happens next week. We'll be bargain shopping for a WR in free agency while Ridley laughs his way to a new team with probably the top contract offer at this position.

Maybe we can sign that head case, Michael Thomas for a year.
I think Allen plays on the tag to see of he can duplicate this past season

Baalke is entirely incompetent.  He has a record amount of cap space and tremendous draft capital over the last three off seasons and managed to leave us exactly where we were when he started with less money to spend.  All he had to do was sign Allen and tag Ridley.  What a moron.

So now we have three picks and 50 mil in cap space to fill starting CB, nickel CB, OC, OG, DT, and WR.  Lol.
Time for everyone to overreact.

There is still hope though because Dilla had a post about Allen. I remember someone telling me he's a more reliable source than Rap lol

It's not an overreaction to be upset that they couldn't get a long term deal for Allen which will likely lead to them also losing Ridley.
Coach Campo brings up a good point in that we don’t know how the coaches feel about Ridley. Seems like a valid point, and if so, would Trevor’s input be a component of that opinion?
Hopefully we go after Hollywood Brown

He should not play he should sit out and demand a trade if that happens.
Very disappointed they tagged Allen since Ridley is now likely to walk. Ridley did have his issues with route running, etc , but I don't believe they can find a better option other than drafting someone like Thomas in round 1. The problem with that is the team already has too many need areas (DT, OL, CB, Edge) and adding WR to this group will make it nearly impossible to meet all these needs by next season. My fear is that they reach for either a receiver or corner in round 1 and not taking the best overall player. Free agency will provide more answers, but I'm still in the camp that says Baalke is killing this team.

We wouldn't have to trade him. Remember Leveon Bell?  I doubt he wants to lose 24 mil and a prime year of his career

Or they could use the money that Ridley wants and fo hard after Wilkins or Chris Jones.  I would rather that honestly but I doubt Baalke does it
What I don’t understand is teams have been letting go of their guys for almost a full two weeks. And we just started doing it last night and negotiations with Allen’s agent happened sooo late.

Like why? Feel likes Baalke took too long of a Xmas break and forgot he had all of this sh1t to do

It would. It still circles back to who are you replacing him with though. He wasn't perfect, but, his production was still relatively impressive considering the amount of time he had missed, the system he was learning and the fact that he was never really a WR1 until this past season.

He played second fiddle to Julio Jones in Atlanta if I am not mistaken. With Ridley not coming back. We're back to where we were in 2022, except, a little bit worse off in my opinion.

Kirk coming back from a core injury.
Jones coming back from multiple injuries.
Agnew may or may not be back, I forget his exact contract situation with us.

That leaves Washington, Cooks and the other Jones. Just not a whole lot there to like in my opinion and they'll need to find another guy that can play WR1. Maybe that's Marquise Brown, maybe that's Michael Thomas. No clue. If they opt to find a guy in the draft. It's Odunze or Thomas Jr. for me in RD1 or trade down and get somebody else like Keon Coleman, Devontez Walker or Xavier Leggett.
