Pirk made a comment about how giving people a chance isn't a bad thing. It's not. It's also not a bad thing to call [BAD WORD REMOVED] when you see it. For example, I, yes Joe, supported the Alualu draft pick. Did it take me until last year to figure out he was garbage? No.

I'll give everyone in the Jaguars organization a chance, but I've been to this rodeo way too many times to make excuses in the last year of their contract.

Gene Smith is a clown. No need to rehash.

Alualu is far from garbage. Was he picked higher than he should have been? I'd have to say yes, but he's been more than serviceable at the position he's been assigned. The fact that he isn't regestering 10 sacks a year doesn't mean he isn't an adequite fit, given the nature of the position he's playing.
Quote:Right about what? Should Gene have been kept around by Khan? No. He should have been gone a year prior IMO. But, that's the thing - everyone has an opinion and a particular point at which their patience runs out. Yours runs out faster than mine.
That's exactly my point. Did u give Gene Smith a chance? I sure did. I thought he was going to be out savior.

But alas, 2 years later I was a " usual suspect" giving the " same ol song and dance". Sorry, some people can read through [BLEEP] and some people need Wayne Weaver to tell them they are doing the right thing.

Not talking to you, but sorry, I can make my own decisions.

I see your perspective more clearly from that post. We all have our own history with board narratives and the stances we've taken on various issues.

I still feel like our current situation deserves a different measure of patience than the end of the Smith years did because Caldwell is steadily assembling talented players and has found the king on his chessboard.  Smith couldn't do that.

Despite Bradley giving me some reasons to doubt his readiness for the job, I'm still in "patient mode" due to talent acquisition - even if it is coming a bit slower than I'd like.

Bradley will have no excuses after another injection of talent IMO, and he'll either rise to the occasion or earn his walking papers.  I'm hesitantly OK with that.

Bahahahaha serviceable? He doesn't even start.

He's garbage. If not, can you please name me one play he's made? Notice I said the word "play" and not " sack". Dude can't even break one of the leagues worst Dlines for a starting spot.

I regress, I'm Not gonna go deep into it because people get sensitive when you talk about Alualu.

Dudes a back up, a terrible one at that.

Bradley didn't have any excuses this year to be this bad.

Sorry, but it doesn't take 3 offseasons to defend Brian Hoyer.

That's certainly your opinion.  But it has taken that long. You blame Bradley (and whatever else) - I blame a slow roster build and injuries.

Looking at our defensive roster, Hoyer should have been held to less, but too many key pieces just aren't there yet for the Jags' defense.

Besides... think about it. Seriously. With no pass rush any QB can eventually find Hopkins open downfield.  Henne would have looked good against our pass rush.

That's actually more than just my opinion, the majority of Jag fans would expect to be able to defend Brian Hoyer after a three year rebuild.

But you're right, it HAS taken that long, mostly because we have a clown for a head coach.

Slow roster build?

Too many key pieces missing?

Who's fault is that?

You don't think that maybe... The guy that was saying this team was "built"... Was actually full of [BLEEP] the whole time?

LOL.

I'm done.  Get back to me when you learn what an opinion is.

Slow roster build? You think 5-11 was the best this team could do given the circumstances of an incredibly weak schedule?

I bet another coach could have done better.
Quote:LOL.

I'm done. Get back to me when you learn what an opinion is.
Lol I would expect this response if I got shut up too.

Help me out then, please, what is this opinion youre talking about?

If you read my posting I've stated they should have been a 7 or 8 win team this year. Coaching did play a role. There were lots of stupid mistakes and undisciplined penalties that coaching may have prevented. The roster and injuries on defense played a larger role still.

Sigh... When you said "That's actually more than my opinion..."

No. No it's not. It's just your opinion.  Nothing more.  You need to understand that more thoroughly apparently.  Stating another opinion after it doesn't change the fact that its just your opinion.

Lol its just my opinion that a team, after a three year rebuild, shouldn't let a journeyman QB score 5 TDs and throw for 600 yards in two games?

Right....(sigh)

While in trying to stay out of this, the shut up thing sounds great right about now

So please do.

Right....
Yes.  Exactly. That's just your opinion.  Nothing more.
Quote:Yes. Exactly. That's just your opinion. Nothing more.
Lol no, it's not just my opinion brother.

In fact, if I told you three years ago that QBs such as Brian Hoyer were going to destroy us, would you have still hired Bradley?

I can't help you, dude. You are failing so hard at the most basic and fundamental understanding of how to form a reasonable argument that I can't waste any more time. Sorry.  Ive lost faith in you ever "getting it."

We have different opinions.  It's absolutely amazing to me that you can't figure that out. Somehow YOUR opinion is MORE than an opinion. And mine is just wrong.  LOL.  Zero logic.

I'm trying not to insult you in any way at all  -  but if you can't understand that much ^   - I have no time for you.

To be honest, I would be worried if you were on my side.

You, and seriously everyone that thinks like you has been close to 100% incorrect about everything I've seen y'all post.

No lie it kinda feels like a compliment.

Good for you.  You're awesome.

Maybe one day I can achieve such blissful ignorance.  Pray for me.
