The Jags can do one thing. During draft to show sticking with Blake. And can do it early.

Draft Lattimore at 4. If they do that. They are going all in with Blake. And hoping the stout d.

Will be enough to help him get to playoffs. Cause at that point.

No holes on defensive side of ball. Ya have a premier number1 corner,2, and nickel, and can swap out like nothing.

And probaly the number 1 young secondary in Nfl. Ya have very talented linebackers. Yannick, Campbell,Fowler, and a handful of other guys to sub in to rush the qb.

Ya have Jackson Campbell ( due to can play both DT and DE) and someother really good DT.

And the line is stout in depth.

A good rb can be had in round two or three. And Blake has zero excuses now.

On paper with that D should easily be playoff Bound. And then would be shocked if drafted a qb after round one.

Though if still did be relieved.

For those who are like?

Simple form. If we draft Lattimore. We are sticking with Blake in 2017.
I would think drafting a RB first would should more help to Blake than adding to an already very talented secondary.
I refuse to read your posts anymore. These one line things are weird, and you put punctuation where its not needed, then don't punctuate where its needed.  It's nearly impossible to read.

Ditto. It's like reading something friggin Tarzan was trying to type.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTAJAk25q_A - 2015 Blake. Watch his throwing motion, perfectly normal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvofCODT4dg - 2016 Blake. Preseason, again watch the motion. Something is off already. He must have injured his arm during the offseason, who knows.

So also to the person who mentioned his 5 Touchdown game here you go, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfr4BL0HPpw

I expect if Blake is %100 healthy we will see him return to his 2015 form. The last video, watch the TD at 1:17, it shows you all you need to see.

My point is nothing else there to select that is better.

So grab the oh s bar. Hoping the defense can keep Blake in games.

Grabbing a running back. With not many changes to the oline. Is really pointless.

Good stuff here. You'll notice he'll always have a longer wind up, much like Brees and Rivers. But 2016 there was something seriously wrong before the season even began. And Blake even said something about it himself.
Quote:BB5 set franchise records under one of the worst coaches in history, without any semblance of a running game all the while being the most sacked QB in the league. That in itself is reason enough to not throw the towel in on him yet. I hold the belief he will blossom and thrive under Marrone.

Got to agree with this.
The best bet is finding him a RB and bring in competition in the 2nd or 3rd round.

This "bring in competition" (regardless of the round) is so silly.

Bortles is the Jaguars' quarterback. Barring injury he's going to stay the QB until performance issues arise. Doesn't matter what some some college QB does in camp or pre-season.

I think Bortles knows this is a critical year for him. Some phony "competition" isn't going to matter one way or another.

They could always bring in a vet for him to 'learn from'.

(that's one of my other favorites)

I think that's why you consider taking "competition" in the mid-rounds (if you like the value of a QB on your board at your pick.)

If Bortles flames out again - you have a plan B quarterback that's not Henne and may be more ready than Allen by mid-season.

It's why I often say "plan B" instead of "competition" even though both apply.

Yes^^^

Blake is getting handed the job, its his to lose and if we think our supposed franchise QB has to compete with some journey man to be good he's obviously not the guy.
I say that is not proven till mid day three of draft. If no qb in top 3 rounds. Than I agree betting the farm on Blake.
comes out of the draft and appears like he's the real deal, almost immediately.

Takes a step forward and shatters franchise records in his second season.

Running game implodes in year three and is forced to throw 35 to 40 times per game. Regresses and makes both good and bad decisions.

Modis building for Jags message board warriors.

immediately? Blakes rookie season was horrendous. And very impressive breaking franchise records set by legendary quarterbacks such as Mark Brunnell and David Garrard.

Franchise records in what? Tds? Why? Cause Brunell had Fred Taylor, Leftwich still had taylor. Garrard had both Taylor and Mojo.

So ya act like thats a huge feat.

Also has a higher game winning percentage with less then 100 yards of total rushing offense.

So lets compare the top 4 qbs we have had. Taken Blaine out of equasion for obvious reasons.

Most Ints? Between Brunell, Garrrard and Leftwich and Bortles? Least amount of points? Least amount of come back wins? Worst accuracy?

Where does Blake rank?

So yea franchise TDS are nice. But over all still an F.

One step above Henne. Who though hasnt been a starter in forever. Has won more games when was starter for miami than blake has here.
