He doesn't deny going out and drinking. But the fact that it gets carried into him being an alcoholic and having a problem that it interferred with game day and prep...

Well unless you know him, no one can declare anything about him being an alcoholic. That's just stupid. I'm replying to the guy about the pics. There are more than enough pictures out there with him at bars to show he does go out there. Like I said, I really don't care though unless it's hindering his game.  But then again, it's not like we can do anything about it anyway so whatever.

Even if he does frequent the bars out at the beach, so what?  That doesn't make him an alcoholic.  It makes him a 24 year old millionaire who doesn't like sitting at home alone in his free time who happens to live in an area where there are a multitude of haunts to hang out at and chill with friends and fans alike.  I'm betting he'll rethink that now since he's got the holy rollers stalking his every move now so they can declare him a booze hound and a raging alcoholic.

Even if there are pictures of Bortles out there at bars, what does that actually prove?  That he's at a bar?  Is that illegal somehow?  Is he not permitted to have a social life?  Is that what they're teaching down at the homer dome these days?  "Alcohol is the devil!  Foosball is the devil!"

 

I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but it's possible to go to a bar and not get hammered on a regular basis.

The truth that he goes out to bars. The poster said there aren't pictures and I said there are. He's been sighted enough that's it felt needed to be asked by the media meaning people have seen him. Never said he was out getting wasted or anything. I've actually seen him out once and he didn't even look like he was drinking at all to me.


What I'm disputing is that all this is made up and he doesn't go out there at all. But like I said, he can live his life however. Let's just win games.

He never had an issue with arm strength, that's for sure.  It was always a blast to see him play live because you really don't get the full perspective watching him on TV as to just how hard that ball is being thrown.  This little clip gives you some idea because you hear the thing just crushing the receivers.

Single guy living at the beach with unlimited resources and close proximity to some of the best bars and restaurants in town.  Probably doesn't do a lot of cooking for himself very often.  Just about every bar at the beach has a restaurant associated with it.  Should he stop eating too?


Even in the tease, the anchor mentions "rumors about game week partying..."


They edited out the question that lead to that response, so we don't know how Curtis framed it, but clearly, this whole notion that Blake was out partying all the time bothered him.  He talked about how difficult it was to deal with the chatter among fans questioning his character knowing he wasn't out at the bars drinking, and he wasn't an alcoholic.
