I don't complain much about anything except Caldwell, Bortles, and Fowler. It's just that those are the 3 three lightning rod guys that always come up because they have underperformed expectations greatly. I said it was a joke that ESPN or NFL.com's, I forget which, list had Hurns as a top 100 player, but saying he was merely an ok WR2 wasn't bashing him.
I regularly defend/ed Arob, Parnell, Alualu, Beachum, Odrick, the RBs, and probably others I'm not thinking of off the top of my head.

I don't always agree with ya, but Bortles, Caldwell, and Fowler also represent the biggest thorn in my side concerning the franchise currently. I don't have much in the way of hope for any of them, unless Caldwell can humble himself enough to truly learn from Coughlin that is.
Bortles, Fowler, and Caldwell (combined with Joeckel) in my opinion, will have set this franchise back half a decade when it's all said and done. We've drafted terribly yet again, and it's time to start reaping the rewards of those poor decisions, yet again. It is what is. I think Coughlin and some of the talent that Caldwell did manage to bring in will mitigate our bad drafting, but this team should be light years ahead of where it's at.

I don't claim to know much, but writing Fowler off after his first season in the league coming off an ACL in that scheme is just plain dumb.

I just don't understand the criticism of Fowler. He's essentially a rookie coming off a major injury. And he still put up decent numbers, considering.

It's not his 2016 play alone. It's the elevator footage. It's the regularly flagrant personal foul penalties. It's the dumb plays. I don't think the kid has what it takes upstairs, and I don't think he has the work ethic either. I think Ngakoue easily outworks him. I don't think Fowlers that athletic. I just think he's a flat out bust for what we drafted him to be, is that so crazy considering our history?

While I do agree that he made some boneheaded mistakes last season, calling a player a bust after one season of play is foolish.
I've said it before and I'll say it again – There's a reason fans don't run the front office. If they did, players would get cut after one down year. The Browns constantly lose because they are impatient. Let's not be like the Browns, please.

To be clear, I said he's a bust for what we drafted him to be. He's not a horrible player, but I don't think hell ever live up to the 3rd overall pick. I don't think hell ever be that 12 sack per year guy, and that's kinda what I expected when we drafted him in the top 5. Ngakoue produced like Fowler should have.
