Quote:There are plenty of reasons beyond climate change for us to wean off fossil fuels, whether it's happening or not, no matter the cause.

I don't disagree that better and cleaner solutions should be sought.  However, should it be forced through regulation and taxation?  Is it wise to continue to fund failed "green energy companies" to the tune of billions of our tax dollars?  Not to mention the fact that those companies are not even American companies.  Take for example this which I just happen to see today.

Here is a quote from the first part of the article.

Quote:

Abengoa, a renewable energy multinational company headquartered in Spain, has been a favorite of the Obama administration in getting federal tax money for clean energy projects.

Since 2009, Abengoa and its subsidiaries, according to estimates, have received $2.9 billion in grants and loan guarantees through the Department of Energy to undertake solar projects in California and Arizona — as well as the construction of a cellulosic ethanol plant in Kansas.

You can always find what you are looking for on the internet. Honestly, you can choose to seek out reassurance in your echo chamber or you can choose to seek out the truth (no matter how ugly it is). These are decisions you have to make for yourself.

I don't have time for that.  I need to prepare for the Famine, Floods, Fire, Fumes and Fighting.  Obama said so.

You already posted that blog. I thought you were only interested in legitimate news outlets? I guess that went out the window once you saw what they say. One day Fox News will stop censoring climate change news and the rightwing blogs will follow suit, as will you I imagine.

You're so right, the scientific concensus echo chamber is terrifying for those who fall for such foolishness. Someday, when the world is still here and just fine, you'll accept the truth of the AGCC hoax.

I'm completely behind Obama's lead on this. I'm reducing my carbon footprint by not flying in a personal 747 from DC to Alaska along with a fleet of support aircraft. I believe that meets my lifetime CO2 commitment.

It's great that we have a president who takes the lead in showing us just how much is still acceptable for our CO2 footprint.

I don't expect the following to change the minds of those that believe in man made global warming/ climate change.    But for those like me who don't believe in man made global warming/ climate change,   Ted Cruz's excellent response to a question is attention getting in a positive manner:

Thanks for sharing that clip D6.  I agree with what Ted Cruz has to say not only about global warming climate change, but also what the real problem is.
Lol that intro to that video Lololololol

If that crap is really what you choose to believe, then there is absolutely no helping you. Fortunately for me, the Ted Cruzs of the world come and ago but the Truth always remains. It's just a matter of accepting the truth and taking action in response to the truth to best provide for ourselves in the future. I had to turn the 'cross examination' off after he starts on about the Time article from 40 yrs ago. Talking points are for the birds. Enjoy your seeds.

Lol the "scientific consensus echo chamber" --that's a new one.

Here's an analogy for you.

You develop a cough. Go to the doctor. He says you have cancer.

What do you do? Do you say, "well, I'm not a doctor?"

Do you go around ask 99 more doctors until you find one thst says he's not sure you have cancer? Do you choose to simply believe the 1%er?

Or do you get a second opinion and admit you have cancer?

False analogy, cancer has been proven to exist.

There is no helping you either if you fail to actually listen to what people have to say.

Though the spin is entertaining and get's the base to froth up even more than usual, I am pretty sure him traveling on air force 1 is required is it not? I mean I know you guys hate him and wish he was not president but surely you are not implying he travel by less secure means.

  My pleasure,  jagibelieve.

It's refreshing to see when we have leaders that have the ability AND willingness to counter global warming/ climate change and other ' positions along these lines.

It's refreshing to see another conservative politician say basically the same things all conservative politicians have been saying?
Quote:There is no helping you either if you fail to actually listen to what people have to say.

He is talking about an article wrtiiten in 1975 in a magazine. That's what your glorious leader is stooping to. A very aged talking point that is completely irrelevant. And you won't even read the Wikipedia page on climate change. Your hypocrisy is overwhelming.

Be honest.  Did you watch the video clip that D6 posted?  I would be interested to hear your thoughts about it.

Predict my answer on the next few questions.

1.  Is there global cooling or an ice age coming?

2.  Is there global warming?

3.  Is climate change real?
