Quote:ok found it:

First two years in the league Gabbert starting for the Jaguars: 17 Interceptions

Bortles: first 1 and a half years: 27

SWEET!
Did you know gabbert was so bad during his second year that he had gotten bench dummy.
Quote:So question.  Did Bortles lose the game today?  YES he did.  He was the reason we lost.
Nick Marshall? Who scored all those TDs to keep us in this game?

Get a clue
Gabbert was so bad that the coach sat his scary but down during the second half of the season.

Is he really arguing Gabbert is better than Blake?

Marshall had a play in it, but Bortles lost it with ANOTHER INTERCEPTION.  I don't care how many yards this guy gets, if he throws multiple interceptions every game, what the hell is the point of him being on the field.  He's obviously not winning us any games.

It all comes down to coaching.
Quote:Blaine Gabbert's yards in 28 games for the Jaguars: 4357

Blaine Gabbert's Touchdowns in 28 games for the Jaguars: 22

Blaine Gabbert's YPA in 28 games for the Jaguars: 5.6

Blake Bortles yards in 21 games for the Jaguars: 4720

Blake Bortles touchdowns in 21 games for the Jaguars: 26

Blake Bortles YPA in 21 games for the Jaguars: 6.3

The truth hurts. Bortles has been better but its not like he's been that good. I don't understand why Gabbert is his measuring stick anyway. Being better than Gabbert isn't exactly saying much.

No.  I'm talkingg turnovers.  I've never seen someone throw so many picks every game.  It's getting beyond frustrating.  You can't deny that.
Quote:AT TURNOVERS!

Turnovers come with taking chances and throwing the ball down field. Football fans with even a modicum of intelligence know this. If we had a conservative QB we would have had few turnovers and lost the game by 16.
Quote:I never said Gabbert was a better QB.  You guys are crazy.  I'm talking TO's.  This guy is unbelievable horrid with TO's.

Go look back at what you originally posted.

"Bortles has his bright spots, but he sucks."

"I was a HUGE supporter of his..."
Quote:Ok... Now go look up TDs.
21 with a 69 rating, 155 yards per game. Those numbers cover 25 games. 5.6 ypa, along with a comp% near 52. You would think those 2 idiots would check the numbers before making claims?

nope Bortles cost the game with his last 2 turnovers.

How dare you blame a guy returning punts who was a Qb last year?

How dare you! !!!????

Bortles is no sacred cow

Keep defending him I guess.  We will just continue to suck.

It happens. The frustrating part is the lack of execution and coaching, that is the problem

Exactly, but his turnovers are killing this team. Literally.

Meh, let him throw picks. He was the only reason we were in the game. If one of our players on defense or ST MAKES A FREAKING PLAY or the receivers stop dropping every third pass we win games.

In my opinion Bortles is analogous to a volume-shooter in the NBA. He might put up the raw stats, but the efficiency is so poor that he's a net negative more often than not.
Wow...Carr just tied the game.

Just because I mentioned your name, didn't mean anyone wanted you here.
So much good from Bortles... but the mistakes were frustrating. It's amazing he had the game he had with all the pressures and sacks he faced. We need to put a much better offensive line in front of Bortles.

Triggered.
