Still the worst in the NFL....and it's not even close.

Trotting out a college QB rookie to field punts at crunch-time some might consider a coaching fail. Particularly when we have a sure-handed WR who is extremely reliable and has more than a few months experience fielding punts..
Blake Bortles and the Allens literally have to do everything for this team to win.

Seriously, think about it, what other positions on our team can pick up the slack?

O-line? God no. LJ is finally playing better, but the unit as a whole is inconsistent at best.

RBs? Yeldon is a rookie, so I cant blame him too much. The rest are garbage.

D-Line? The last game they finally looked like they could stop the run, but we still get next to nothing in terms of pass rush.

LBs? Besides Telvin, all of them can/need to be upgraded.

DBs? Our DBs make backup level QBs look like Tom Brady.

Coaching? That's a big ol hell no.

Blake Bortles and the Allens have nothing to lean on during the games. Not only that, but Blake has to make up for his o-line with his scrambling, which will almost always lead to more turnovers.

Once the Jags score, its like we just have to pray for a mistake by the other team, or pray that they score fast enough for Bortles and the Allens to respond. Even if our D-line keeps stopping the run, why even run the ball when you're playing a defensive backfield with ZERO interceptions, and allow QBs like Fitzpatrick/ Hasselbeck/ Winston/ Hoyer to look like Hall of Famers? Even EJ Manuel had a decent game outside of his first two picks.

Or other defensive or special teams TDs. How about accounting for the fact that the turnovers and inefficiencies often put the opposing team in prime scoring position, or the fact that defenses will be on the field more (and thus possibly allow more points) because the offense cannot sustain drives. I don't think you can evaluate a defense in a vacuum. I linked some stats from football outsiders regarding efficiency and I thought they were quite telling.

The offense and special teams aren't doing the defense many favors.
BBTD = breaking franchise records at age 23.

He's also on pace to tie the franchise INT record. I like BB but people need to cool it with the mancrush.

I don't think id call DRob garbage at all. You can't do anything if the coaches don't play you. He's already shown he can be a legitimate threat at this level. I also think the DBs are better than this board gives credit. For complete lack of pass rush, the somehow still do a mediocre job. You know how hard it is to cover in this league? I think we'd have a different tune about them if we could pressure the QB, well, outside of gratz and cyp.

We haven't had a franchise QB since Brunell. People are excited we finally found one? Ridiculous!

Jealous my man?
Bortles is not a franchise QB

He's a turnover waiting to happen

He's actually unique

He's keeping us in games and he's losing them for us

That's a special talent, man

Why would I be jealous? Hes a good player, I'm happy he's on the Jags. But he's got some work to be a franchise QB.
Just curious....does anyone think Hoyer is a franchise QB? If we set the bar that low for Blake, then surely Hoyer is too?

Can't fix stupid......

Peyton Manning- 9 TD and 13 INT- 75.6 QB rating-----his defense allows 17.4 points per game

Cam Newton - 14 TD and 9 INT -----81.3 QB rating-----his defense allows 20.6 points per game

Blake Bortles- 17 TD and 10 INT- ---83.2 QB rating-----his defense allows 29.4 points per game

Two of the above will be in the conference championship.....the other will be in the draft lottery. Please don't speak if you don't understand football. Bortles will be a top 5 QB in this league.

You're not bright enough to see what the problem on this team is.

TRUTH BOMB BOOOOOM

These guys are so happy to see improved QB play (which considering how bad ours has been for the past several years ) , that they're ready to crown anybody as the Savior.

Blake at UCF (13-1).

UCF Without Blake (0-10).

Most of the haters who were clueless last year and thought Teddy Bridgewater was a better QB have come around. When will you? After a super bowl win?

Uh....look at Perriman and Storms NFL career and look at Blake taking off. Thanks for proving my point.
