Quote:Seems like Blake always finds a way to lose the game for us... it's easy to say "but he had a comeback win", when the team is always losing.
Blake has made some dire mistakes, but if it wasn't for his ability to extend plays and make something-out-of nothing (with the POROUS offensive line), we would be getting BLOWN out in every game.

CHENNE in the ball game? Think the Patriots game, but every week.
I think the offensive line is going to be porous as long as we have so many deep throws. It makes them block for a longer time. Face it, guys... We have a high risk high reward type of offense... Which is what works for us.

We are not a precision west coast offense that relies on accurate and quick throws.

Not saying our line has been good, but Blake will always get sacked a lot as long as we have this type of offense and this type of QB.

I'll just be happy when we can run the ball consistently again.

The deep passing offense goes both ways. Obviously the linemen will have to block for longer, but there is no doubt that their ability to pass block can get better - because we saw how good they could hold the pressure off earlier in the season.

I think the Jets defensive scheme really played well to their advantage because our offense is incredibly young and they seemed confused on many occasions - from the offensive linemen, Yeldon, and Blake.

Which leads me to my next point and I feel it is really important to note...

These mental mistakes should have NEVER occurred, or at least been held to a minimum, coming off a BYE WEEK - and I attribute that to the preparation, or lack thereof and that goes on the coaches too.

Preparation is what tidies up the mistakes and penalties on the field. Credit goes to the Jets defense and their coordinator for executing a good gameplan - to challenge our young offense to make the proper reads in the midst of chaos.
My Biggest issue with him against the Jets was that he tries to just force way too many throws into double or triple coverage. It was unlikely we would go 90+ yard in a minute. But that last pick he just needed to throw that away. Frustrating

Name the last QB to throw for 381 yards against the Jets or throw for over 120 yards on Revis.......answer......no one in recent memory.

First of all, not all of ARobs yards were on Revis.

Second, do you really believe no one has ever thrown that many yards against the Jets?  Really?

Who cares?

Name the last qb who threw a dumb int to end the game against the jets.

You have got to be kidding. No timeouts, with 50 seconds on the clock and having to drive 90+ yards.....yeah, he sure coughed away a golden opportunity with that one. Probably should have just checked the ball down and run 20 seconds off the clock.

Game on the line, 1st down, triple coverage. No one is kidding here.

Perhaps some of you are still drunk on the Gus juice. Its too hard to win, so throw an int and lets get out of here.

He should have thrown a TD right there for sure

Or at the very least not tanked the teams only chance on a horrible decision. It wasn't his first turnover or poor decision either. The turnovers were the difference.

Or perhaps made a smart football play. I know thats hard for some of you to understand.

Chance for a game winning drive? Naa, there is only 50 seconds left on the clock, throw an int and lets get down to Baskin Robbins before happy hours is over.

I think he was trying to make a play after being flushed out of the pocket. Hurns didn't do him any favors by not attacking the ball.

I'm not going to try and convince you it was a good throw. It wasn't. But it was desperation time and it was going to take a miracle to score a TD in 50 seconds with no TO's and NY dropping 8 guys into coverage.

Believe me, I would have put my money on us not scoring on that drive, but Bortles was hitting some deep passes in the game so it was still very possible. Its not like it was 5 seconds left on 4th down.

you know they marched for a 70+ yards td in less than 30 seconds the previous possession right?

Different circumstances. The Jets were still playing their regular defense and the clock wasn't nearly as much of an enemy Could still attack the entire field at that point.

Also, would you say that 3 play 70 yard drive is the norm or more of an anomaly? I am not saying it was impossible, just extremely unlikely.

The team was only in such circumstances because of his turnovers to begin with. He doesn't fumble on the earlier drive and even if the team has to settle for a FG, the game changes. The problem wasn't just that one specific turnover, it was a culminating effect.

How do you explain Gus Bradley's 28.4 points per game allowed all the way back since 2012?! That's an NFL worst.
