A preponderance of the entire video showed that Chauvin acted appropriately in dealing with a deranged and violent individual.

No.  Floyd was in cuffs.

Why do you even care? The guy was a total P.O.S.

Unless that P.O.S. is actually threatening the life of an officer, he deserves to arrive at the police station with his heart still beating.  Being a P.O.S. isn't a capital offense.

I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you...so it’s just better not to ask!  Ninja

Can't we just rassle?
He wasn't a good guy for sure but I still think it's a manslaughter charge. I don't recall, was EMS called and the cops were waiting and why they sat on him for so long? I know how stupid strong and violet people can be under the influence of drugs and police have their procedures in place, but nothing about that scene was okay. You're telling me four grown men couldn't contain a man in handcuffs without killing him? I know he was going to die anyway but it didn't have to go the way it did.

Nothing those cops did contributed to his death, he killed himself with the drugs. And yes, the guy fought his way out of the backseat of the car while handcuffed, so it's not like he was Mr. Compliance. I'm sorry he died and I'm sure those cops are, but his death was his fault.
It certainly appears to me that the officer is innocent of the murder charge against him.  The manslaughter charge might stick but even that is shakey.  The officer should be freed.
I don't disagree, the man essentially killed himself before the cops showed up. He made his choices, but at some point they had to know the guy was no longer a physical threat and could make a different choice. He was not worth the lives and property damaged and lost due to the outrage.
I just watched the entire video for the first time and hope Chauvin rots in jail. Chauvin is a P.O.S.

How anyone can watch that video and not walk away thinking... man... that Floyd guy was really stupid and shouldn't have resisted... he'd still be alive... it's just flabbergasting.

Both can be true.

Pretty much.  I'm pro-police and agree with showing the upmost respect to them at all times but this was gut wrenching.  Those police officers did a major disservice to all officers around the world.

I would say that nobody deserves they type of treatment, but I'd have to say there are exceptions to that broad statement. What specifically comes to mind is someone like Donald Smith, the person that raped and killed Cherish Perrywinkle.
The prosecution witness on the stand now is wearing a printed T-shirt. Are there no longer any dress codes for courtrooms?

Dress codes are racist.
This chick is something. She answers direct questions with "Okay?"

Not really.

Just my opinion, but from what I have seen it appears that the most likely outcome is going to be "not guilty" on the murder charges while the "manslaughter" charge might go either way.  If you watch the footage from the officer's body cameras involved it was pretty clear that he was "on something" and the "I can't breathe" claims came well before he was on the ground and being restrained.

It appears to me that he died of an overdose/bad health NOT because he was "choked to death".  At the VERY MOST the officer(s) involved might be guilty of not getting aide in a more timely fashiion.

There is a reason why barricades and a "plan" is in place in Minneapolis.
I was watching the trial but now it's being censored??
Oh ok "technical problems" I guess

I used to love those chicks.  No need to really say anything more after 2am.
The police chief admitted today on the stand that the officers knee was indeed on his SHOULDERS.... Doesn't matter, the mob demands a lynching, regardless of the truth.

The Hennepin County medical examiner autopsy report said the cause of his death was “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law-enforcement subdual restraint, and neck compression.”
