Quote:Thanks, TMD.
I shared your frustration with that.
I didn't have much hope that Jauron would ever use him properly as the season wore on, but when we got Capers, I thought this was when we'd have the pass rusher opposite Brackens and Paup would be utilized more closely to his full potential/strengths. But even with Capers' vastly superior scheme (in comparison to Jauron), Paup was still dropped a lot in coverage. Given the way we used Bryce Paup, we'd have been better served not signing him and keeping Eddie Robinson.
Yep, all of this....
and spending the Paup money elsewhere.....like on a 4-3 DE to pair with Brackens.
Quote:Yeah and then Eddie Robinson went on to terrorize us as an Oiler/Titan.
You mean Eddie George? I don't remember the Titans having an Eddie Robinson.
Quote:Yeah and then Eddie Robinson went on to terrorize us as an Oiler/Titan.
Yes he did, which was bad because we signed him from them in the first place.
Quote:The only game Minnesota has a realistic chance of winning is home against the Redskins. They are literally a fumble away from being winless.
They also lost by 1 to the Bears and 4 to the Browns. They've at least been competitive in most of their losses. Redskins at home is a winnable game and maybe a chance with Philly.

I don't know what to think of the Eagles this year with their musical chairs at quarterback. Playing at home will help Minnesota.
If you want to talk about teams being competitive in their losses, check out the scores in all of Tampa Bay's games.

Unlike us, Tampa is better than their record suggests and they have several winnable games coming up, Miami and Buffalo at home and St Louis on the road.

We also have winnable games coming up: at home against the Cardinals and Bills, both Texans games, and both Titans games. Also, the AFCS leader is not nearly as good as the NFCS leader, so in Week 17, they have a stronger opponent. (Of course I am not expecting a win at Indianapolis, just pointing out the weaker SOS belongs to the Jaguars.)
For all of you who think one of Tampa Bay's biggest mistakes is running zone defense with Darelle Revis, check out this article:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000...-more-zone
This surprised me as I had never heard of any other player saying a torn ACL prevented him from playing MTM defense. Of course, most players are not traded when an ACL is recovering from surgery, so Revis is an unusual case. But if the Buccaneers already had a zone defense before he arrived they were stupid to trade for someone who won the Defensive Player of the Year award in MTM defense.
Blackmon suspended.
Tampa.
Your serve.

Yeah Schiano and Beatles.
Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it.
Apparently Blackmon did.
Quote:So you Jags would not heed my warning?
Very well.
I didn't want to do this, but...We'll give you the rights to the legendary MYRON LEWIS for the pick! He's uh, not on the team anymore, but he's so legendary he can be on two teams at once! I mean, he plays so good, it's like you never hear his name called!.....Ever!
But he's good, for serious! :o
...
DAMMIT DON'T MAKE US INFECT YOU WORSE THAN CARL NICK'S TOE!!!
Oh, and Hi coach! See you back at Pewter Repor---I MEAN OUR TOP SECRET LOCATION THAT SHALL NEVER BE GIVEN AWAY! UM.....YEAH.
You guys put up a good fight but now it's time you go on to win 3-4 games this year while the jags forever be immortalized as one of the only defeated teams in history thus allowing us to draft Teddy and raise our great city to levels of stardom never seen before.
RJ Soward, Matt Jones, Jimmy Smith, Reggie Williams.
Powerful agents to the uninitiated.... but we are initiated.
We will not be beat in this quest for the most awful team of the season.
Quote:Is this sarcasm?
Of course not. Why would you think it is?

Not so fast. The games we lost without him included the Chiefs, Seahawks, and Colts. The Raiders game was at Oakland, where we never win. It is also worth noting that, although Tampa Bay has not won a game yet either, Minnesota has an equal opportunity to "earn" the top pick because both teams have nine games left.

Forget about those guys. Tom Coughlin picked R.J. Soward. James Harris picked Matt Jones and Reggie Williams. Jimmy Smith was the best WR in Jaguars history and I only know about him getting in trouble once, close to the end of his career.

Who picked them wasn't really the point is was going for. It's more about how we keep finding troubled receivers as an organization. It was also a jab at one of his post he made earlier in the tread.

The truth is far more Bengals and Cowboys have been troublemakers than Jaguars.
I expect MRSA to suddenly hit 3 more members of the Buccaneers to keep up with the blistering pace to impotence that we have set after the Blackmon ruling.

...and Lions. Don't forget the Lions.
