Quote:Question... if 2 years ago... Jags and clots tied at 1-14.. last game of the season.. Andrew Luck on the line in the upcoming draft... you would want the Jags to win?

The first game I went to was the season closer against the Colts on New Year's Day 2012. The Weavers were honored during halftime. So of course I wanted the Jaguars to win.
Quote:Can we please get back to the Buccaneers? They have a game tonight that is more important than why I had a rooting problem in Week 6.

Agreed. You were, however, who called out someone on being a real fan... Then root for two teams.

Go Bucs.

You didn't answer my question. If one game decided if we would get Luck or not... would you want to win?

The Jaguars
Watching ESPN, we are on the highlights this week!  Marcedes Lewis "Best run after the catch"...   tacks look like a bunchof chumps!  Love it!

Then you are wrong

No I'm not. I knew Teddy Bridgewater is a very good quarterback after watching him dismantle Florida's defense in the Sugar Bowl.

He's playing for his job/extension. When he gets it, he will revert back to his ways

I thought he still had a couple more years left on his contract. He does not need an extension yet.

We put the franchise tag on him because he wanted to test the market, so I don't buy the "playing for his job" argument. He was playing to win.

Caldwell will be making more cuts, especially older overpaid players. Can't do it all in one season. We need the cap to extend players like Monroe, MJD, Blackmon, and Shorts. lol. I kid, we have so much cap room, yet, still several overpaid players, not enough people to extend, and no premier FAs wanting to come here

FYI Eugene Monroe is a Raven.

Exactly. Just one less player to extend. Will cap req. force us to overspend?

So why did you say we have to extend players like him? We have no left tackle like Monroe unless you count the rookie on injured reserve.

Kidding. We have zero talent on this roster worth extending in the next two years. Monroe is a Raven. Blackmon will be out of the league. MJD, Poz, & Lewis are not pieces for the future. The only players from the Gene era worth extending will be Anger and Shorts, though neither will cost much.

Wrong. Justin Blackmon will come back after he fixes his alcohol problem, which will happen. Paul Posluszny is by far our best linebacker and worth every penny he is paid. If you want to claim we have no talent at any position worth extending, you are also counting Josh Scobee, not just the Gene Smith picks.

Justin Blackmon will not fix his problem. Poz like Daryl will not be a piece to build around for the future. Sorry for forgetting about Scobee. It's easy to forget about him when we can never cross midfield

Stop being a Debbie Downer. I am confident Blackmon will fix his problem. And yes we do cross midfield - a lot, in fact.
Call me Mr. Negative, but I do indeed hope that Bridgewater doesn't turn out to be the best QB from this draft through his rookie year and even first few years. And that in addition, we happen to "lose out" on the very first pick and drafting Bridgewater, or even simply choose another QB over him, be it Mariota or another, who turns out to be just as good or better. Just so that somewhere down the road I can sit back and point out how some people here are overly obsessed with the guy and missing the fact that this is expected to be a very strong draft for quarterbacks. Not every good (or even great) quarterback has to be the first pick of the draft...
