Quote:Let's poll them, the majority will take Wilson. Not even close... Wilson is working with a much better roster than Luck. Wilson is being asked to not lose the game while the Colts are asking Luck to win it.
Wilson has had some bad games and they still win. That's not the case for Luck.

Quote:I certainly respect your opinion, and I felt the same way before this year. What sold me on Wilson is there has been a few games this year where Seattle has not been able to run the ball effectively, they've also struggled most of the year in pass protection because of injuries to both of their starting tackles, yet Wilson was able to overcome those things while playing at a high level. I saw him erase a 21 point deficit against a talented Bucs defense, he absolutely picked apart the Falcons a couple of weeks ago, I watched him go 13-18 for 230yds an 2 TD's last week against Minnesota, I just like what I see from Wilson more than Luck and RGIII, he's incredibly underrated and is one of the best QB in the NFL.those 3 games arent the best examples to use. almost everyone torched that falcons def, even geno and glennon, that minnesota pass def isnt good either. as for the tampa game, he struggled most of the first half but had a terrific 2nd half, but i'll also give credit to his defense for shutting down tb in the second. who does luck have in his team talent wise, while wilson has a running game and def. def gameplan against luck, def gameplan against lynch not wilson. if you replace luck with wilson, they are a much better team than the current seattle team with wilson

This is a debate that will always be 50-50. I think Russel Wilson will be better. Today though I would pick Luck.

Quote:Unless the Bucs fire Schiano soon, its not going to be that close. The Jaguars will win a few meaningless games down the stretch (#becausejaguars) and the Bucs will go 0-16. All you had to do was watch that game last night.
Lol, ah the modern NFL, you never know what's going to happen

This is a comment I simply don't understand, if you think Russell Wilson is simply managing games then you clearly don't watch the Seahawks play much. There have been multiple games this year where the Seahawks were not able to run the ball effectively, Marshawn Lynch has had 5 games where he has ran for 2.5 YPC, 3.5 YPC, 3.7 YPC, 2.9 YPC, and 3.2 YPC, Russell Wilson (in those games) was the primary reason that offense was scoring points.
Russell Wilson plays 6 games a year against 3 of the toughest defenses (San Francisco, St. Louis, & Arizona) in all of football, and while the Seahawks are a talented team, he has been the key for that teams success over the past year and a half. Wilson's stats 2362 yds 8.4 YPA
64% CP 19 TD's 6 ints compared to Lucks 2430 yds 59.4% CP 7.0 YPA 14 TD's 6 ints
are much better, and considering he doesn't have a dynamic downfield threat in T.Y. Hilton, a hall of fame WR in Reggie Wayne (before the ACL injury), or even a Coby Fleener makes it more impressive, if Wilson's defense wasn't good his numbers would be through the roof, there have been multiple games this year where the Seahawks literally shut it down after half time because they were annihilating their opponents.
So I'm standing by my original point, Russell Wilson (at this stage in his career) is a better player than Andrew Luck and doesn't get the respect from fans and the media, that's not a slight against Luck because he is good, but Wilson is a more accurate, consistent, dynamic QB that is raising the level of play from the likes of Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate, and the rest of Seattle's underwhelming weapons, Russell Wilson is going to put up video game stats once Percy Harvin is fully integrated into that offense.

If I'm a defensive coordinator I'm worried about Russell Wilson beating me from in and outside the pocket, again, if you guys simply think Wilson is managing games please go look at the numbers.

I've watched every Seahawk game this year, he is an unbelievable player.

Quote:I've watched every Seahawk game this year, he is an unbelievable player. No one is saying he is not good. 2nd best young QB in the league behind Luck. There is a reason he is widely regarded as the best QB prospect ever. Dilfer said he would take a young Luck over a young Manning and young Elway.
There is nothing... and i mean nothing that Wilson does better than Luck. Luck has the cerebral game of Manning, the athleticsim of Wilson and the pocket awareness of Brady. His offensive line is just flat out terrible. They can't run the ball. He makes everyone better. You honestly think if you put Wilson on the Colts they would be better?

Love it

Has Luck really earned a spot on the pedestal you are putting him on?

Yes. He's the best QB prospect maybe ever, and he single handedly took a one win team to the playoffs his rookie year.
The Colts roster looks a lot like the Jags, except at one key position.
Luck already has like 9 fourth quarter comeback wins. He's a future HOFer and will be in the discussion for greatest QB ever. Obviously that's my opinion, but I feel strongly about it.

Russell Wilson is also a cerebral QB, and is just as intelligent as Luck, he memorized the entire Wisconsin Badger playbook in 2 weeks. He is also more accurate as his career completion percentage (64%) is better than Lucks (56%), and it's not like Wilson completion percentage is due to him checking the ball down, his 8.20 YPA is much better than Lucks (6.99), at the end of day the eye in the eye never lies, Wilson (to me) looks like the better player, and the stats back that.

Data from a Seahawks fan
"Andrew Luck has 306 (45%!) more career pass attempts than Wilson.
Luck: 974
Wilson: 668
Those 306 more pass attempts has allowed Luck to throw 8 LESS touchdowns AND 8 More interceptions.
Luck: 37-24
Wilson: 45-16
That's just ridiculous. Career passer rating to date?
Luck: 80.2
Wilson: 102.1
Who in their right mind can legitimately make the case that Luck is better than Wilson?"

Which is why I said in my post that I think Luck is better now but Wilson will be better. This year their level of play isnt all that different. A slight slight edge goes to Luck, but Wilson does just as many things well.
