Bradley's a coach that guys want to play for.

 

The problem is that those coaches usually need great coordinators under them. Having one of those coaches and two great coordinators is actually a really, really good system.

That is good because it will probably come down to a tie.

Right now the Bucs barely hold the tiebreaker. Their opponents (division rivals count twice) have lost 62 games. Ours have lost 61 games.

 

Blame the Falcons.

Plus Tampa Bay has played 3 division games already.

 

Jacksonville has played only 1 division game.

 

Since you play divisional opponents twice, every time you play a game against a division rival and lose, you add 2 more opponent wins to your combined strength of schedule. 

 

That means we're in trouble if we finish with the same record as Tampa Bay. Getting the tiebreaker is not impossible, but I wouldn't bet on it. We need to out lose them if we want the #1 pick. They must win a game.

It's simple as this, to win the tiebreaker over Tampa Bay, we need the entire AFC South and AFC West to lose games, and we need the entire NFC South and AFC East (outside of Buffalo who we both play) to win games. Also root for the Eagles and Lions and root against the Browns.

The Bucs will almost certainly win a game.  They've been competitive; we haven't.

Slow down. Nobody said anything about the Eagles and Lions. Why should we care about them?

 

It will be easy to root against the Browns one time: the week they host the Jaguars. But they don't scare me, being chronic losers like the Bills. Speaking of the Bills, why do you think we can never root for them? We want them to lose twice - in Jacksonville and against Tampa Bay - but the rest of the year, it is OK to want them to win.

 

Nothing is simple here. After a team finally wins a game, it will be tied with the Vikings, who have a brutal schedule because of the division they are in. We also would be no worse than one game behind a lot of teams if current trends continue.

Not if we don't win and TB doesnt win.  The tie would be for the first pick.  You over think things too much.  We want Minn. to win also but if we don't win it won't really matter what Minn. does.

I want the Bills to beat Tampa not lose.

There are 4 games I can see TB has a chance of winning.

 

At home vs. Dolphins

At home vs. Falcons

At home vs. Bills

On the road vs. Rams

I guarantee both the Jaguars and Buccaneers will win at least one game. There is no reason to think there can possibly be two 0-16 teams knowing how long it took for one team to have that record.

If the Bills beat Tampa, we have a stronger SOS and remain tied with the Buccaneers. You want Tampa to win that game if you are worried about tiebreakers.

I could see them winning in Atlanta after reading Roddy White was out for that game. When they lost anyway, I wondered how they can beat the Falcons later this season. I would think that playing at home makes it a winnable game, but they sucked when the Panthers were in town. If they don't beat the Falcons at home they deserve a top two pick.

 

I don't like anybody getting hurt, but Sam Bradford's torn ACL is going to help them when they go to St. Louis.

They'd rather go down to the bottom with the hope of coming up, so they signed off on it. It wasn't a fight at all. In a different season, it might not make sense, but this draft certainly makes it more appealing.

 

Our coach understands that too. It's no secret what we're trying to do, and you can't lie to him anyway or you'll lose all trust. We never really had to tell him, because the handwriting is on the wall. He knows exactly what's going on, and he's good with it.

A superstar in the NBA can instantly transform a team from worst to first because there are only 5 guys, but then the problem is when that team is a small market like Orlando, they can't hang on to their superstars even when they throw the bank at them.

The Buccaneers played the Eagles and Lions. They win, and it's good for us to win the tiebreaker as it makes their strength of schedule stronger.

 

What I meant is the Bills are irrelevant because them winning or losing doesn't affect the difference between Tampa's Strength of Schedule and ours.
