Quote:can I make this my sig until further notice?

I would ignore it if you do.
Quote:If we aren't able to get Bridgewater, I would be very happy with Anthony Barr. He's an ideal fit at our LEO position and I think he's the real deal. If we don't have the #1 overall pick, I think they have to take a real long hard look at Barr and go QB at the top of round 2.

Better than Clowney? I thought Clowney was the universal favorite defensive player.
Quote:Wait!! You mean all our starters aren't terrible and aren't rejects from Seattle? You mean its possible that Seattle has great talent and depth and we happen to get some of what they couldn't keep?
My sentiments exactly. People act like getting Clowney is a rinky dink consolation prize. The man is an almost can't miss player at a position we haven't had addressed in over ten years. I would love to have a playmaker on defense that commands respect from opposing teams because that's been foreign around here for a minute.
Quote:"So called fans" ? The team has won 7 games over the last 3 years and thus far this season they have yet to score a TD at home nor come within single digits of a single opponent. You may find some bandwagon fans, but you will not find them here.
I have yet to find a fan in this entire thread, so yes, "so called fans" is putting it as nicely as one possibly can.

For weeks, Jaguar supporters have listened to how losing is the magical secret to success for this team. It is the magical cure-all to all the ills of the Jaguars. Now, this thread comes up and shows that the bibbers have doubled down and now believe that even in losing, the Jags can't even achieve the lofty goal of the bibber. They were ridiculed for the thought of winning, NOW....., they're ridiculed at not losing the right way.

It only goes to show how truly low of a life form the losing inspired fan truly is.

Nothing I want ANY part of.

Wait just so you know...I was being sarcastic.. I really like some of e young building blocks on our defense. Clowney would help no doubt but if its him or Bridgewater I'm going with the Teddy.

Nothing personal against TMD. He's one of the few posters I actually agree with on most discussions. That was more or less my trying spite him for no particular reason at allWink I wouldn't want him to stop posting.

So I can never agree with you because I don't remember ever agreeing with The Mad Dog.

They're two different kinds of Defensive players. Barr goes 6'4 250 and ran a 4.47 earlier this spring. He is more of your 3-4 OLB type, who can do it all. Drop into coverage, put his hand on the ground and stand up. He has covered RBs and TEs while at UCLA. He can rush the passer and is good in the run game. He's already so good, but hes still so raw at the position. Who knows how high his ceiling is.

Clowney is more of your pure 4-3 DE. He's going to put his hand in the dirt and go forward.

I wouldn't have a problem if we got Clowney (if we couldn't get Bridgewater), don't get me wrong. I'm just saying, if you're looking at the height/weight/speed of what Gus is looking for at his LEO position, then Barr fits that perfectly. All you gotta do is watch him play.

Nobody thinks losing is the key to succcess. Just that if you're going to be bad then be really bad so you can have the pick of the litter. What's the point in winning 2 to 4 games especially if you already know the team desperately needs a QB. No I'm not concerned about winning. What is the point especially now?
grab that qb caldwell..

go get that qb caldwell..

I have stopped worrying about the Bucs out tanking us. Even if they do, we will get one of the best DE prospects in history as a consolation prize. Not a bad deal. I also take solace in the fact we could find a QB in the 5th who is better than anybody on our roster too.

Apparently a lot of people do think losing is the key to future success because we only need to lose more games than the Buccaneers, which does not have to mean 0-16. I have tried again and again to get people to realize that and my words fall on deaf ears. The truth is only two teams in NFL history lost every game, so two wins do not make us losers in the race for #1 unless the Buccaneers also win twice and have an easier schedule.

Dakota is obviously wrong about not finding any fans in this thread. Even if he is ignoring me (I ignore him), he knows I am participating in it, and of course I am a real fan.

If they get the top pick, Clowney will not be a consolation prize because htey can choose anybody they want. If we get the top pick and select Bridgewater Clowney may be a consolation prize, but they need a quarterback more than a defensive end.

Pretty sure you will just ignore this, as you have ignored it every other time I called you out on something stupid!

Theres a few of you on here that it really stands out, that have never sat through an entire game of college football or an NFL game not involving the Jags!

Please tell me what Bridgewater brings that 3-4 others dont., I want level of opponent taking into consideration, along with 3rd down%, rating under pressure, all the important stuff. Back up your stupid comments for once!

Really bugs me that when you hit on something, you shove it down our throats! When you miss (which is more often), you ignore the subject

You have to get Bridgewater, it isn't really a debate at this point. The USF game was the tell all.
