Ah, an illustrative antonym. Clever. You get a star and an up vote.

I just gave my wife an up vote for her latest Victoria's Secret purchase.  Big Grin

You're sitting there watching TV, and your wife comes in and starts talking, and you're looking at her, nodding your head, acting like you're paying attention to what she's saying, but in reality, you're listening to the TV and not hearing a word she's saying.

And then she asks you a question, and you have to mentally rewind what she was saying, and try to offer some lame response that doesn't give away the fact that you weren't actually listening to her.

And do they ask their questions while a commercial is on? Noooo. They wait until the most crucial moment:

...and the killer is... "Do you remember the girl I was telling you about who I work with and her brother is in the Army and he yada, yada, yada.."
Ahhh PREACH!
My girl doesn't get it....

Don't interrupt my stories mon'.

I always loved the Carlin line about getting on a plane.

[BLEEP] that, I'm getting in the plane! Let Evel Knievel get on the damn plane. Seems to be much less of a draft in here.

Reminds me of the new Jerry Seinfeld "Jerry before Seinfeld"
He does a whole bit on how we use words like in or on...
We get in the cab, but you get on a train...you go in the city... but you get on the island (staten island I assume)
but what about UBER? what do you do with an UBER? You don't get in an Uber... you TAKE an uber.... lol

Good stuff... if you've ever been a Jerry fan, check it out on Netflix
People who scrape the tiniest gap in their windscreen when it's iced over.. then drift all over the road as they can't see anything!!

I’m guilty of this.
Speaking of annoyances...... Just heard this on Jim Rome

Every time one of these NFL teams has one of those heartfelt moments reuniting a family with a soldier back from overseas, the military pays for it, not the NFL.
I was instantly annoyed.

Apparently the "not for profit" NFL doesn't have the money to spend on such things...
but Goodell is gonna get some big fat $ contract...
and they don't have to pay taxes...

Shady business that we all support lol

The NFL does pay taxes.   The individual teams, where almost all of the money goes, have always paid taxes.   It was only the league office, which earns a tiny amount of money compared to the individual teams, that was tax exempt in the past, and they gave up the tax-exempt status in 2015.

You're right they did. I forgot about that PR move...

They still have that antitrust exemption.

Either way..... they ain't fooling me.. they find loopholes to avoid doling out more cash than necessary to line their pockets. And making the Navy pay to have some guy reunited on an NFL field for the show of it all is just more shady stuff from the NFL. (Like making halftime performers pay to perform)
Anywho... don't wanna get into it too much as we're not in the political section.
People who open a closed overhead bin on the plane and then squash your stuff to the side to try to force in their stuff.

People from Zone 3 who try to board in Zone 1.

Emotional therapy dogs on a plane.

That hill you have to hike at LaGuardia in Terminal C to get to the C24-C32 gates.

How about the people who insist their giant piece luggage is a carry-on to avoid the luggage fee?
People who take their dogs everywhere with them and act like they are children.

They're pets.
Stop.

lol
