A woman I was once with at the elevator noticed I had the UP button lit and expressed a desire to go down.  I did not find it to be annoying.

To be fair, I too would doubt your ability to push a button.

Give me a few minutes to figure it out.
Is it a trivial annoyance that my boss is scheduling me to travel on Jag home game weekends?

In the Gus era, he would have been doing you a favor.  Now...………...this qualifies as far more than trivial!
"waitressing"

What, exactly, does this word mean?

It especially kicks up my hackles when I hear a young male college student say it.

Can I add "ing" to other nouns to have a proper word to tell someone "what I do"?

I've been plumbering for 3 years.
I've been taxi drivering for a while.
My career in hookering put me through college.
I'll start my new venture in studenting in the fall.

I would have never guessed you were a prostitute…

I’m just jokering.

Um, could you spin around for me just once?

The opposite of trivial, my fellow Bobcat.

That's a big ask.  (nouning verbs is another pet peeve.)

Sweet!  That makes 3 of us now.  You, myself and Blair Brown, who's being drafted BTW, is the sole reason this team turned it around.

Welcome to board.

Depends on the noun.  Coach, blacksmith and D.J., yes.  Architect, punt returner and proctologist, not so much.
You know, it really isn't necessary for the emergency lights on the average cop car to be bright enough to see from space. Those damn things are going to cause a wreck by blinding the passersby.

Meh, I've come to the realization that if they weren't that annoyingly bright, someone would get killed by an idiot on a cell phone.

You're just mad because they keep appearing in your rear view mirror.

Nah, I just don't like having to squint and use the sun visor at 10 o clock at night just to see the road.
"We're pregnant."

Only one of us is getting stretch marks and can’t see our feet, the other one can shut the hell up...

Lol. Yup! I watched my wife go through the misery 5 times (we finally figured out what caused it) and learned quickly that I want nothing to do with being pregnant.

Well, except the conception.

Whatever, I put on 50 pounds the first time.
I can't let the handicapped parking issues go- how about the person who is not handicapped "live parking" in a handicap spot while his wife or whoever runs into the store. Does it make a difference if the motor is running?
