Quote:Russel Wilson better than luck?  Ha!  RW stinks to high heaven!  He's RGIII but with higher media IQ

RW is clearly not on the same level as Luck... but he's no where near the same level as RG3 either.
RW is shaping up to be clutch like Brady whereas Luck is following in the footsteps of his predecessor.

I'd take either but RW will likely win more championships than Luck due to his ability to adapt as the game goes on.   Luck & Manning struggle if they realize they are getting outcoached.

RW is winning due to his defense and RB. Anyone who watches him plays knows this.

I do think RW is a good player, but he's nowhere near Luck.

Plus hinting at Luck be a choker is laughable. Does everyone already forget the NUMEROUS amount of comebacks he's had in his short career? How convenient.

I'm as big of a fan of Russell Wilson as anyone.   He's ideal for the way the Seahawks have been put together.    But if I was starting a team,  based on the age factor,  Andrew Luck would clearly be my choice of QB's and overall players.

Once again, we're back on the debate as to how much regular season counts on the weighted scale of ranking QBs.

If RW wins next weekend, he's going to go into that Brady category.  Many can say that the Patriots won their initial SBs primarily due to the defense as well.   Of the top of my head, I think NE had Bruschi, Seymour, Wilfork, Rodney Harrison, Ty Law, etc.....

If RW loses next week, I think he'll fall a step behind Luck but ahead of all of the other "under 27 year old" QBs.

Luck had a 76 passer rating vs Broncos and a 23 passer rating vs the Pats.    To early to say choke in the Andy Dalton terms but he needs to go to the SB within the next 3 years to avoid being deemed a playoff bust.

If I was doing a draft right now of any player in the NFL, I'd take Russell Wilson on top. Rodgers would be a thought, but based on age I'm taking rw.

Luck and rw both played poorly last weekend, except RW found a way to win.

Statistically rw is better. If you watch rw is better. Rw has a ring and maybe another on the way.

The only thing luck is better at is riding the hype machine.

Funny how many people at work were gushing over how great Andrew luck is and that he was gonna blast the pats. Brady was the only elite QB in that game.

RW was at home, with a great defense capable of stopping opposing offenses. RW also has a great running game.

Also, didn't you guys fry the Colts for beating up a injured Peyton Manning? RW had to come from behind to beat an injured Rodgers.

Anyone who honestly thinks RW is better than Luck has hate blinders on. Wake up.

I agree with both of you.

Which I could understand if he were a tack, but as it stands now I think you're right (for what little that matters in the grand scheme of things).

and luck has much better receivers, better tight ends etc....

there are no blinders. i dont even need to list stats. if you watch them both play, RW is a sharper passer, hes a better runner, he reads defenses better, throws a better ball. all of the above and more.

when the game gets close, you just know that the seahawks are going to pull out the victory under RW.

he has that tom brady vibe to him.

False on so many levels.

How many close games has the Colts won with Luck under center? How many times has Luck came up in the clutch? Without looking, I almost guarantee he's won more than RW.
i never said luck wasnt clutch. i think he is.

everything else is accurate, you can watch him actually play or look at stats to prove it.

you colts fans are the ones with the blinders on.

Well, most football fans that don't have a hate agenda, would disagree with you.

i dont have a hate agenda. its reality. you watch both play and you really wanna tell me that luck throws a better football?

how do you wanna dispute the fact that RW has a better lifetime completion percentage, by a good amount?

how about the TD to INT ratio?

do i hate andrew luck enough to make RW's stats that much better? or is the reality that andrew luck has been the hype machine for years now and RW is under the radar, the better player?

the media wants to talk about luck, everything else proves the the latter.

You do have a hate agenda. You hate that Luck is in the division and beats the Jags by a large margin, almost every time.

Luck AVERAGES more passes per game than RW has EVER thrown in a game. Think about that. That's absurd. Luck is asked to do WAY more.

Also, if it were Luck that threw 4 INTs in the Championship game, not RW you'd be making a HUGE deal about it. RW was terrible Sunday. They didn't win because of him, but in spite of him.

Luck would've shut it down and GB would be in the Super Bowl

i dont care that luck beats the jags. the jags are a bad team. keep putting thoughts or words in my mouth.

i already said RW had a terrible game. but through his career he is better than luck at everything.

also yeah, he throws the ball less, but his stats for less passes are still better. better ypa, better percentages. everything. you will never admit it. you have no tangible argument. nothing. you just have hot air.

LOL. Keep dreaming.
We all know coltshomers would argue the opposite if they had Wilson.

I disagree. He was able to put his worst performance ever behind him and do what it took to win.
