He is playing out of position is what it is. He shouldn't be standing. I think he will be more effective as a 4-3 DL.

He'd probably be fine as a 3-4 end rather than OLB tbh.

I can see it. I remember last year against the Titans. He was on the line. Flew like a maniac and strip-sacked Ryan. That was a thing of beauty.

I'm not too worried yet.I still see flashes with him.

Err, am I reading this right that Walker is double-teamed as much as Allen, and that overall he is double-teamed as much as any pass rusher?
Too few flashes and not enough consistency!

You're reading it right. He's treated like an average pass rusher and performing like a well below average pass rusher.

So many people overstate their cases. He has given average performance so far. Many cannot get over being butthurt that he was the first overall pick and is not playing like the best player from that draft. Two things can be true at one time. He should not have been the pick at #1. (As it currently stands.)And he’s a really good player. Blame the people who picked him thinking they were the smartest people in the room. Very seldom are we smarter than our peers. If they will move him to his natural position, he will flourish.

I'm the one overstating my case?
Went on record a few times. I don't blame Walker for being a Jaguar. That's on this front office and coaching staff. Once again, it does not help his case when the guy taken right after him is now tripling him in pressures, maybe even quadrupling, and, once again, playing like he'll secure another NFC defensive performance of the week.

We [BLEEP] up. It's as simple as that. We'll be looking at bolstering the offensive line and defensive line again in the off season. This draft class does not appear to be top heavy nor loaded as some of the previous classes though. This is the one class where I hope we finish good enough to secure later choices in the rounds or potentially trade back.
A year and a half into his career, a lot of people were ready to give up on Trevor Lawrence. I have no idea if Travon Walker will develop into a great player, but I'm willing to give it some more time. Sometimes, in the middle of year 2, you start to see the upswing.

This is very true, I just hope that playing him as we are in this scheme isn't really the issue because if then so it won't get any better.
I’d like to see some moves.
I'm not giving up on him but man this defense would be on the cusp of elite right now had we drafted the consensus number 1 pick last year.  That one handed pick yesterday by Hutch was insane

He is the guy that could take this defense to the next level if he could live up even close to his draft status
I can tell you right now on the radio show that Garrard, Dempsey and Fat Tony are starting to wonder when it's going to "click" for him as a pass rusher.

We keep seeing, just like they're seeing, the same, redundant bull rush move being used over and over and over again. He's a blunt object man. He doesn't have any finesse in him. I really think unless he just turns it up over the next two weeks, that, come the bye week?

It's time to do some serious soul searching with him for the long term. Figure out a way to get him inside and closer to the guard/center where he can use his raw power and size to disrupt our opponents. It also shortens his closing distance needed to hit the QB.

I said before the season started. I would give it until week 10. I think we need to speed it up now while we can. We're fixing to get into a tough stretch of games including some stout opponents defensively. We might get into some heavy bouts where defense is the overall theme of the game. We need to start lining up our aces in their places accordingly to get an edge, literally, on defense.

Good to see Walker at the top.  Ledbetter has been great for us this year for a low end signing especially with Hamilton out
Considering we currently seem to have no inside push on pass plays, it's doubly impressive how well Josh Allen is playing, both with pressures and sacks. All a mobile QB has to do is step up into the pocket and then either run or pass., like Allen did yesterday.

Our DTs don't get much pass rush up the middle but they usually clog the middle

This was supposed to why they reupped Hamilton this year.

Maybe when he's back we get some semblance of a pocket disruption

Right now QBs are often stepping up into a pocket the size of Texas and taking a nice deep breath before settling on their 4th read, LOL

back to the edge...
I have noticed Yasir Abdullah getting single digit snaps in a few games but still managing a pressure.

It is time to end Chaisson's opportunities and give them to the rook
