My reasoning? Our offense takes a huge leap forward this upcoming season and puts up too many points early to where the defense can pin it's ears back and just focus on the QB. Especially in this division.

Well, I was half right and wrong. LOL.

I was right about the double digit sacks, he hit 10.0.

I was WAY wrong about this offense and DEAD wrong about this division.

Love how he not only got better year over year, but he got better as the season went on.

Rookies, especially clearly talented ones, should get time. Too bad Luke Fortner didn't show the same growth this year.
He could be a real problem for opponents later on this season if Baalke's gambling pays off. Hamilton being the main component within the interior. The next defensive coordinator could also find new ways to get him more involved. There's also March and April to help bolster this team's overall strength's.

I would continue to find ways to make #44 and #41's jobs that much easier. Getting these two guys a pair of viable, pocket collapsing lineman in the interior would be massive for this team's fortunes moving forward. It has to be at the top of this team's priority list, second to only the Center position on offense in my opinion.
Definitely excited for his 3rd year.

That’s impressive
Walker is coming into his own. Keep Allen, and year 3 will be so interesting to watch.
Sign a NT like Reader, Jones, or Stewart and draft Newton. We would have the best dline in the league and Newton could take our pass rush to an elite level.

Allen - Newton- Reader- Walker

I hope this slows the "make him a DT" talk.

It's fine to move him inside a few times here and there - but let's allow the new staff finish developing his edge skill.
He's very clearly coming on strong in that role.

Nielsen is very good at getting his Dline to improve. He is going to be awesome for Travon next year.

I agree. I always felt like he would be a guy you move around once he was able to find himself and get comfortable as a pass rusher. I think we'll start seeing that more going into year three.

It's early, and we have not seen what they'll do with free agency and the draft yet, but, I am willing to go out on a slight limb here.

I think Walker's projections for me personally for the 2024 regular season will have him hovering around 12 - 13 sacks.

How does he have 11 sacks? Every website including his game log count 10.

Yes, I know he caused an intentional grounding on Purdy which should have been a sack - but the officials missed it or didn’t agree.

Griffis is a Jags fanboy like most of us here.  He's probably giving Travon that particular sack you mentioned which he shouldn't do if he wants to be taken seriously as an analyst.

Yeah, it screams teenage homerism. Don’t need to fudge numbers to make something look more impressive.

You literally said  "it should have been a sack"

So stop being such a teenage homer, I guess.
