Did he?!

What was his other name?

Come back OLine! All is forgiven!

There needs to be some sort of penance though.  I forget the alt name that was used if that was truly him, but to leave like that then potentially have come back under an alt.  Nah man, come take your medicine like a big boy first.

Well, as I remember it O-line was dead set against our current center....

I'm not keeping a running tally of everyone's right and wrong opinions, but I seem to remember him being wrong on some pre-draft things as well.  Kinda like everyone else.  Rage quitting is funny to watch. It doesn't have to be someone's defining moment, there can be redemption, but let's pump the breaks on begging someone who rage quit to come back is all.

He said Christian McCaffrey wasn't going to be good because he is white lol.   That was one of the best takes I've seen, great scouting lol

Naw, jaganatic24 just said he sucks and isnt going to be good.
I wanted Hutch at one with that said I liked Walker. Before his draft stock shot up I brought up the idea of trading back up into the first and taking Walker. Walker is slowly improving and it is good to see. I think Hutch is a better pass rusher and Walker is better against the run. Walker has a much better bull rush and both are pretty good in coverage for their position. If I was grading both on a scale from 1 to 100 id grade Hutch a little higher but it wouldnt be by alot. These ppf grades on each are just way off imo.

There is no way Huch is almost 40 points better than Walker, [BLEEP] is asinine.

Plenty of stats floating around out there that suggest they are similar in production.  A lot of non-stat or indirect stat reasons to prefer Walker though.  He fits what we're trying to do on defense here better as well imo.
Added a 60 day poll to see where we currently stand on Walker

I think moving him around and letting him drop in coverage from the outside. I think he can be disruptive from either spot and is ultimately why we drafted him. Right now his only goal is to eat up blockers and let Allen work. Sack number isn't an end all be all for measurement of productivity.

I'm a blank #2 guy myself, but I get it.

Flippancy is an easier choice when we 3-8 and last in the division.

Pff grades don't go off stats though

Recordable stats have to be a significant part of their process.  It just may not be all on the fantasy football caliber stats.  Otherwise, it's just all art and bias (and by extension, worthless for side by side comparison).  Pass rush win rate is one of many stats, for instance, that I'm sure they are interested in, but it doesn't register on the richter scale for most fans when compared to sacks.  That said, they must have some subjective components to their evaluation as well as how else would you explain the Hutch vs Walker numbers.  As you say, they seem way off on one or both of the guys. The subjective part of a pass rush win is what constitutes a win and is that definition being applied evenly across all players and by all analysts. Also, are they factoring in being in position to properly snuff an opposing run play even if the player wasn't the tackler that made the stop? Are they grading things like that? I don't know.

Opposing coaches (like Tomlin) aren't singling you out in press conferences because they feel sorry for you.  He had to mention the lack of the sexy sack numbers for him and talk about how good he is regardless of that because he knows casuals are gonna be like "What? Walker?  Look at his sack numbers. He sucks. What is Tomlin talking about?"

Commentators are mentioning him now because they have to cover an 8-3 Jags team which essentially just locked up the division.  They're catching up and catching on.  PFF apparently not so much.
Voted with the 2nd option. Which is the majority vote right now. He's shown improvement as a pass rusher, when he gets to stunt inside it works more in his favor. I think they just need to keep letting him play it out.

There's a good chance, that, Baalke was right in his evaluation on Walker Vs. Hutchinson. Hutchinson started off dominate as a pass rusher last year during his rookie campaign, he's since quieted down this year and he's on the verge with six games left of Walker damn near catching him, if not, surpassing him in crucial categories and important areas of metrics.

So, there's that to look forward to. I think it's paramount though that we retain Allen. I think it's important that they also add a dominating presence in between the two of these guys that plays the run and pass effectively. As much as we need interior help on the offensive line. The defensive interior needs it.

Looking forward to seeing what Walker does now with six games left. I still feel like he's overdue for a monster game and these next few games actually give him a chance to pad his sack count. Browning should be manageable from the pocket, and I think, in my opinion, he'll probably match up well with Jackson when we see them on Sunday Night Football.

It's the Carolina and Tampa Bay games for me though. Those are big time games to feast on QB's that have either bad protection in front of them or bad habits of hanging around too long in the pocket between Young and Mayfield.

Carolina, TB, Cincy and Tenn all have crap Olines (outside of Wirfs) where the pass rush should get home often.

Yeah. Should be a really fun stretch for the front four to get hot and get after the QB without needing too much help from elsewhere. Walker is due for a monster game or two. Can't wait to see it. We know it's coming. The numbers are projecting towards it.
