This was supposed to why they reupped Hamilton this year.

Maybe when he's back we get some semblance of a pocket disruption

Right now QBs are often stepping up into a pocket the size of Texas and taking a nice deep breath before settling on their 4th read, LOL

back to the edge...
I have noticed Yasir Abdullah getting single digit snaps in a few games but still managing a pressure.

It is time to end Chaisson's opportunities and give them to the rook
It was the biggest reason, can't wait till we get him back 100%.  Fatukasi is playing better and Ledbetter has also been a nice surprise and a very good value signing.  Can't wait till Lloyd and Hamilton get back.
I saw yasir and led better get a few good pressures on Allen In the gamr

Yasir needs more snaps
He registered a pressure yesterday and was only out there on 8 or 9 snaps.

Time to bench Chaisson and let the rookie do some work.

This. I would just trade off Chaisson if possible. Late rounder or a player for player.

Send him to the broncs

They need a ELITE Passrusher for there team atm, chaisson is the EXACT MAN they need [ this is all true if any Broncos officials are reading ]

I think we could get more pressures out of him if he played closer to the line and inside. We're wasting too much time on him as an outside backer at this point. He's 10 pounds heavier and more than likely stronger than Hutchinson.

There's no shame in admitting we messed up and took an inside guy to play an outside role. All is forgiven if you put him in the right position to have more of an impact.

Hopefully after a bye week they'll come to their senses with Smoot and Hamilton back in the fold. They have to start doing something though. Need more out of him one way or another.

Excellent is a bit of a stretch
Definitely not an OLB in my opinion.

More of a 3-4 end or better yet a 4-3 end or maybe even a DT

This dude Jordan must have never played defense in his life with the “base” talk. Passing situations can be on any down.

Agree with Abdullah getting more playing time. Chaisson should have been cut before the season. Dude is useless.

Agreed on both accounts. He gets radio time here and there locally so I think he goes easy on the players.

He was on here for a while banging the drum and trying to recruit ppl to get involved with Generation Jaguar which (at the time) he was trying to build around young adults that grew up with the Jags.

(older Jags fans grew up without a Jax NFL team of course)

He did well collecting a few thousand followers of those generations and getting some twitter traction.

When that earned him press credentials and he started trying to be an analyst, [BLEEP] got weird. LOL

Wasn't aware of that. Must have been in a lull at the time. I have been posting on the old forum + this forum since 2005. I was 16 at the time.

My favorite post or argument I ever had on here was years ago with Alfie. He was arguing that defenses no longer when Championships or something to that effect.

I proceeded to throw the play off run of crazy defenses book at him with stats, box scores, etc. Was fun times. Still is fun. Just find it crazy that I am now 35 years old.

I have spent a good chunk of my life, half of it, on and off on here.

I joined a few years after you when I was living in NYC and had no immediate outlet to talk Jags football.
I'm a few years older and was probably just under 16 when the rallies began in downtown Jax to get support behind drawing a team here.

Man - We've seen lots of folks come and go and a ton of good, bad, and straight up wacky football discussion over the years here!

Anyway - Jordan DeLugo seems like a good guy - just a little green on some of the football stuff. Probably went from "fan club organizer" to "credentialed coverage/analysis guy" way too quickly, but there's usually only 4 or 5 beat guys in those pressers each week at the Bank. Not bad to have another voice in there even if he homers a bit and gets it wrong sometimes. He'll probably get better at it.

I remember seeing John Shipley's early analysis before he found his footing.
Plenty of holes to poke in that stuff. He's top notch now IMO.
Who?
He's still bull rushing out there. Some good hustle and heads up plays in the 1st half though chasing down receivers from the line.

Still think they need to sit down after this game and the Saints game during the bye week and consider a positional change or plan of attack change.

Outside backer is not maxmizing his God given strength.

Been commenting that his pressure rate was up over last year, looks like that is officially a trend now.

Might be nearing some sort of breakout.
He looked good today, no?
