Trump struggles to regain fallout from his previous comments wanting women to be punished for getting abortions.

He also turns away from the cameras.

His comments are scaring the Republicans

He seems like he's pretending to be pro-life, and here's why I dont care:  What is a pro-life president going to do about abortion?

They always talk about changing it, but that hasn't happened since 1973.  We had a pro-life president for 8 years, nothing changed.  That's why it's not an important issue for me voting for president.  It's an important issue to me personally and I'd like it to be illegal, but I just dont see it happening.

Which is also why the hypothetical posed to him is meaningless.

He had never brought this up as a campaign issue before. What have the Liberals been telling us for god-knows-how-long. You guys need to stop harping on social issues. We don't talk about social issues and yet they bring them up anyway was stupid crazy hypotheticals just to try and trap someone in a gotcha question.
Ann Coulter apparently called Trump "mental"

...Which is kind of like the Pot  saying to the Kettle: "You're BLACK!"

So, it's ok if he's lying because he can't do anything about it as POTUS anyway? I'm beginning to see how he acquired his teflon cloak.

You (conservatives, I assume) don't talk about social issues?

It is Bizzarro World.

When Trump promotes his nationalistic views, I don't think he's making it up, and that's why I'm voting for him.  It's not bcause I think he's pro-life.

When he talks about being pro-life, yes he's playing to the conservative base.  Any sane person knows he has to do this.  I fail to see how that sets him apart from any politician that's ever ran for office.

There's plenty I dont agree with Trump on.  He's just the only guy resembling a conservative to promote pro-American ideas.  Everybody else is cool with continuing the current status quo that's sending our country down the crapper.

No it had not been a major part of the primary. We were talking about trade taxes qnd immigration.

I thought Trump's appeal is he is not like every other politician.

That's part of it, but obviously he has to "play ball" in some areas.

This doesn't change that he is different in many ways... but that shouldn't need to be explained for the 1000th time

I call BS.  If you are truly Pro-Life in which you want Roe Vs Wade reversed, than abortion is murder & thus accordingly women & doctors whom perform said action are guilty of at least 3rd degree murder.

Was Donald Trump caught off guard or should he have sugar coated his answer that part maybe up for debate, but he isnt the typical politician and he tells it how it is...

Look if you really want Pro-Life than that means that its a crime to commit an abortion & thus a penalty.

I felt it was not a gaff on Trumps part, and if Cruz had been asked he wouldve simply dodged the question.

Actually... 100% correct. If it is held in a supreme court oppinion that a human life is entitled to protection from the moment of conception then that abolishes the developmental sliding scale created in rowe v. Wade. That would mean that in essence ordering a doctor to abort the fetus, in the absence of a compelling medical emergency to protect your own life, would be the same as asking your boyfriend to overdose your toddler and wrap them in a garbage bag.
Moreover... Trump could appoint 3 supreme court justices. Theres a less than 1% chance that john roberts dies in the next 4 years. Absent that even a decision overturning rowe would be written by him. The decision to make the mother legally culpable for the procedure would be his in the end as the author of the majority oppinion.
Quote:Imagine the population growth had nobody ever migrated here.

Would America be better off had that occurred?  Probably, humans tend to destroy the land that they are on.
Quote:Even going by Trump's numbers, there's only 30 million illegal immigrants.  30% of which simply overstayed on their visas.  Of course other numbers say it's closer to 12 million.

Also, I don't see why there being more Hispanics would be a problem.

Nothing wrong with Hispanics I love Mexican food.  I am simply pointing out that our weak stance on illegal immigration and its impact on everyday life has been devastating.

If all the illegals from the last four decades & their children & their children all moved to Canada for example, they would be the majority and could thus change the form of govt & main language to Spanish.

I know this isnt popular, but I agree with Donald Trump.  If a person kills an innocent fetus they should go to jail.
Oh and how would our population growth be if we undid all those abortions?

Also Spanish is already a fairly common language in this country, and I don't see how that's a problem. People should be able to speak multiple languages.

And Ted Cruz and John Kasich already commented on the Trump's comments.  They disagreed with his sentiments.  I'm pro-choice, and I've always thought it was kind of strange how people call Abortion murder.

Trump flip flopping, hardly a surprise. Sometimes it's tough being a populist, obviously read the mood slightly wrong...

It would be great if the whole world picked only one language to read, write, and speak.  It doesn't have to be English, but having so many only makes it harder to communicate.

I thought Ted Cruz was even harder on Abortions penalties including cases of Rape, or is he simply pandering again.
Kasich is pro-choice I really can't figure out why he didnt run against Hilary as a Democrat instead of running as a Republican.

Mass genocide isnt justifiable... Period.

Second, killing a newborn is murder right?
