Quote:Dupree rushed against Parnell the whole time he was in.

That's good to hear considering he was giving the Packers such a hard time. I don't recall him doing anything against the Jaguars.

Quote:So that video is relevant because?
woosh
Watched the starting offense again today specifically watching Joeckel. Was solid in pass pro and is very good in run blocking. I disagree with people who have called him soft or that still feel that way. He's not soft at all and gets after guys in the run game. One play specifically he got up to a LB at the second level and ran him a few yards back and into the sideline until the whistle blew.

His athleticism is great and it appears he's stronger than in years past. Just needs to be more consistent in the passing game and he can be very good.

That's nearly what Boselli says verbatim. I'll take it haha.
Quote:Tonight was not a good game to measure improvement. The Giants did/does not have a good pass rush now that JPP looks like Chubs Peterson. Wait until the Lions.

I don't know the NY Giants are ranked #16 against the Pass going into Preseason week 3, 7th in opposing QB ratings, 8th in Sacks and 6th in Tackles.

On a side note Jaguars are ranked #19th overall in Defense (Its only preseason but shows good depth).
Quote:should of drafted Geno like some people on here wanted
Funny stuff, I never liked Geno Smith in fact if Rex Ryan likes a QB its a red flag that QB is going to stink in the NFL..
Joeckel is a fine young man who will help the Jags win five games this season

I didn't realize Bowanko was so tall. I just figured that as a C he was probably about 6-3 like Wiz.

I guess 1st round tackles of late league wide have struggled this was on NFL.com today and I honestly will say I will take the Joke over any of these guys.  It doesn't mean I like his status as 2nd overall pick but it could be worse

Entering his third season, Luke Joeckel still doesn't look natural as a pass protector. We saw him get beat on a speed rush by James Harrison in the first week of the preseason, and he had a holding penalty in the second week. Bruce Arians has picked on Cardinals first round pick D.J. Humphries publicly all preseason, and we saw why. He made Chargers pass rusher Jerry Attaochu look like Lawrence Taylor. Eric Fisher, the forgotten No. 1 overall pick of the Chiefs in 2013, remains out with an ankle injury.

Redskins No. 5 overall pick Brandon Scherff has been moved to guard, and was dominated by Detroit's defensive tackles. Saints first round pick Andrus Peat got an earful from coach Sean Payton after getting worked by Jabaal Sheard. These are all more reminders that the most overused phrase during draft season is that offensive linemen are "plug and play 10-year starters" that are somehow "safe" picks.

Then again the Eagles young RT continues to excel.

Oh good, another Joeckel thread.  Just what we needed.

LOL! Joke! I get it!

Seems like all of the good linemen are being selected later in the first round (almost the entire cowboys offensive line)

Who will help them win the other eleven?
