I've avoided the coronavirus, so far, but stood directly in the path of the common cold which has had me on my butt since Tuesday.

I think we can all agree that the chemists who concocted the formula for NyQuil should be enshrined in a monument for The Greatest People Who Ever Lived. Seven hours of complete misery were erased last night in blissful slumber.
So, general question.  Not sure if anybody can help me with a suggestion or not.  A bunch of my furniture got damaged on my move out here. It was supposed to be insured for $10k.  Now the movers are giving me a run around.  I know...big surprise, right?

Anybody know of an attorney that could help me with this or even what kind of attorney I'd need?

The Law Offices of Chaise & Ottoman??

If the Mrs is home and not working, she may have some phone calls to make.  Did you take pics of the furniture beforehand? Is it surface Or is it more structural? Ie wobbly or rickety.  I’d imagine you can’t prove it wasn’t wobbly, or “loose”.
The LPGA is playing night time golf in Dubai. They have an entire golf course lit up. Pretty cool.

The Links of Naples is lit and open until 10pm.  Played there once during the day.  Saw a fairly large gator in a pond close to where my tee shot landed.  This possibly explains why I never returned for a night round.
I went to a local wood guy to get some hickory.  He didn’t have that but I got a bunch of pecan, cherry and more oak.  I probably went a bit overboard and have total about 120 more pieces.  My goal was to stack against the cab and work my way back.  But The cherry and oak looked similar.  So I separated them.  Didn’t think much of it. Have helper springs, so the truck wasn’t squating.  But man did I feel the weight.  Problem was it must’ve took too much off the front.  Felt it in the steering and I was planned to go up near UNF to a fish store.  Started raining.  No problem.  Slow it down. Heading up 9B, the car in front of me veers abruptly.  There a rolling cylindrical BOb’sbarricade blown almost center of my lane.  Wet road, unbalanced load.  That split second to choose to plow into it or swerve.  I chose to swerve.  All is well but scared the poo out of me at the time.
We’ve finished our 7month grind. Even though this week we were on our “winter schedule “, it finally feels real since we now begin our on a week/off a week. First week (next week) filled with Dr visits. I’ve got many things planned for my free time. Some woodworking, range time, my lil fishy tank, going out with my dad on his boat. I know it sounds silly, but this is a big part why I keep doing this job year in and out.

You put a lot of effort into getting wood. Never heard of Pornhub?

I’ve done used that up.  Just not enough for me these days.  Had to up the ante.
Ya know, I like margaritas...
Burned down some pecan (puh-con, not pee-can) burnt some burgers. Holy [BLEEP]! 2 for 2 on the fire pit meals! I was gifted a big green egg long ago. As much as that thing costs, has nothing on the natural way. I’ve been grilling wrong for many many years. It’s even wife approved. What else is there to say?
I heard a guy from Texas say “Barbecue was invented in Texas”. Really so before there was a Texas nobody ever cooked meat over an open fire.

Funny you mention that.  I was thinking cavemen ate pretty damn good food after I ate my last two fire pit meals.  But to be fare, I wouldn’t call it “open flame”.  You’re Supposed  to use the coals. Not the flame.  Semantics, I suppose.

Point taken, though I did call it an “open fire”.

When your feral but super friendly cat goes missing. :'-(

She's a special kitty. Her name is Winter but we call her Winter Soldier because she's kind of a bad [BLEEP]. She's been through a lot in her 2 years. She runs ahead of us in the yard to make sure we see and pet her and scratch her behind the ears. Such a sweetie. A purr that was as loud as a lion.

We fear she may have tangled with hunting dogs or a coyote.

2020 you suck.

I hope she shows back up with some wild stories to tell! How long has she been missing?
