OK, I was asked to describe my general health overall...... Here it is........ From the waist up, I'm a High Proformance SS 427 Chevelle built by Don Yenko. All my vital organs are working just as they should be, I know, just had a complete physical. Chest x-ray, clear as a bell, even though I've been an everyday smoker since 1981. Heart, doing great, even though I eat a lot of greasy fried food and a lot of junk food. Liver, still hanging in there so........ Now, from the waist down, well, I can only be described as a Freaking Ford Pinto (or a Ford Escort). Both hips replaced, surgery on my lower back for a herniated disc, all those surgeries I had as a child due to that accident with a lawn mower, and lets add to that this painful arthritis in both Knees so...... Total wreck, maybe I should have blown up and caught fire years ago....... LOL

In any relationship/marraige, both parties should be equally armed. You see, if only one person has a firearm, it's more of a hostage situation........... LOL
Anyone else on a diet besides me? This is my 2nd year after putting myself on one.. I think progress has been really good. It only took 45+ years to learn better eating habits..

For breakfast this morning, I had a bowl of bananas and cream oatmeal, a couple of prunes, a small cup of sugar free applesauce, 2 cups of coffee and 2 glasses of water and a preroll of my favorite sativa lol

This has been my regiment for the last 2 years, lost over 90 pounds, perfect blood pressure and have a 5.1 A1C..

That's pretty much been my dietary regiment for the last 2 years.. Been drinking nothing but water and coffee (very lite sugar and creamer). Haven't had a soda in over 2 years and my body is now finally starting to thank me for it. On average, I drink about 10 glasses of water per day, unless I'm stoned, then it feels like I can't get enough water lol

For dinners it's just a protein and steamed veggies or a sweet potato, no butter or sugar.

Walking is still a little difficult because of all the surgeries, but lifing weights and wearing ankle weights every day have helped out greatly too. Trying to build my legs back up so I can walk into the stadium on my own again without the use of a cane. So far, I can handle a Jumbo Shrimp game, but a Jags game is the ultimate test for me..

Gonna find out this season!!
Things I could have gone my entire life without knowing.......... LOL

I wouldn't say I necessarily went on a diet, but I did completely cut out pop/soda and energy drinks back in October. At one point I was easily drinking a 6 pack and 2 energy drinks a day. I've lost a few pounds, but not as many as I would of liked. I too am a daily smoker and I struggle with snacking from time to time. I'm only a year away from 40, figure its better to start taking small steps than not at all.

Awesome!! Hang in there dude, it's so worth it!!

Just starting the diet and maintaining it longer than a month is a struggle in itself, but so worth it!!

Yeah once you kick that soda habit, it's pretty smooth sailing from there. The trick is to snack out on healthy stuff when you're stoned and got the munchies.. My usual go to, is usally a bag of those already peeled baby carrots, plain rice cakes, some kind of fruit or another bowl of oatmeal.

Those energy drinks are pretty tasty but just as bad and addictive as soda as well. I never developed the taste for those too much, except when I used to drink those Jagerbombs lol

Every once in a while, we still eat McDonalds or Burger King or something, but I stay away from the burgers and opt for either the chicken nuggets or a snack wrap. Gotta count those calories, dude.. I allow myself no more than 8-900 calories per day.

I had lost 65 pounds before I moved out here in 2020.  I unfortunately found about 40.  Been working on it slowly for the last 6 months and I have about 12 more to go to lose everything back.  I could probably go a little faster but I enjoy our Friday and Saturday 'date nights'.  It's working for me and all of my medical stuff is good, so I'm happy.  I used to drink waaaaaay to much Diet Coke but the only thing that I've had in the house for a good six years is water.

I've gotten big into fresh fruit for my snacks.  I've always got strawberries, blackberries, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, raspberries or something of the like in the house.  Still have a couple of beers or sodas during the week when I'm out.  Bottom line, I'm pleased with the results and the most important object of any diet is to do something that you can stick to long term.  So far, so good.

I'm on what they call the Caveman Diet.. Eat and drink like the old cavemen. No sugar and nothing processed.. Water, meat and veggies. Lots and lots of veggies. That's a personal choice though, love veggies.

Had you read the entire article you would have known by now that I am “done talking” about it. He used to be my best friend, we would have cookouts, and even go squirrel hunting together ... Do you know what the hardest part about eating a squirrel is?   Spreading their tiny little legs.

My weight stays just below 200# (I'm an even 6' 00" tall) no matter what I eat. Man, I eat everything in sight ... I would hate to tell you my actual daily menu, but today probably would reach around 4,000 calories, or more. Just wandering, you think it may be the illicit drug use? I need to check how many calories are in the 20+ pills I take daily. Found a green one in the couch cushion yesterday, don't recall them ... But, I woke up outside in the flower bed this morning ... And, no I am not Jim Irsay.

PS (Edit), good for you, I am proud of you, and the amount of effort you put in. I am really glad you are getting healthier, and more mobile. I know I am somewhat lucky with weight, but I do have my own demons that I should work on. I'm just too lazy for the most part.
