Doctor said she did great.  No excessive bleeding.  Did have more arthritis than they expected but they cleaned that up.  I can't see her until she gets a little more coherent from the anesthesia.  They'll do some testing later this afternoon to see if she should stay overnight or be released this evening.  Ultimately it's up to her.

Thanks for the well wishes peeps.

Momma's boy shepherd sure she's about to come through the door.  He'll be frantic when she doesn't come home at all tonight.

I’d he just holding it down, or does he have an adorable floppy ear?

Floppy ear due to health issues in that ear.  He certainly has his own unique look.

Nah.  He’s an old man.  Very laid back and can’t hear a damn thing.  He was a rescue.  He was basically chained up in the back yard for years, hence the ear issues.  Really, really, great dog.  But a momma’s boy.  He won’t be happy until she’s home.  Hopefully today.  She said she was walking around in the hallways at the hospital last night, so that’s a good sign.
My husband farts and I tell him there's enough pollution in the air.

He's says the environmental impact of the clean up if he explodes would be so much worse. Then he farts again. Like a fog horn.

Such are the exchanges in our house. Lol.

I have a Bassett Hound named Driftwood that's just like that.. Blind, deaf and just old. Maybe close to 13 years old. Not bad considering the life expectancy for a Basset is only like 10 years. He's got a few years left in him, and lots of pig ears lol

Funny thing is we have no idea how old Othello is.  The paperwork was all [BLEEP] up between the kennel and a vet that examined him.  When we got him back in 2018 one set of paperwork said he was 6 1/2 and the other said he was 11.  I tend to think the 6 1/2 was the correct one, which would make him a bit over 10.  But my wife likes to tell everybody he’s 13.  There’s just no way that dog is 13.  He still gets around too good and still loves going on walks around the neighborhood with Dexter.  We don’t even have to put a leash on Othello anymore, he just follows us.

That's quite the mating call.  Here's what I use.
