There's a girl at my new job named Jennifer Porn.

Every time I see her email address come across I have to giggle a little bit.

I’ve got to ask, is she hot?  And if so, if caught looking at her will you get fired for watching Porn at work?

Have you spoken with her yet?  How's the oral Porn?

Welllll....it's kind of difficult to say since nobody is in any of the offices and the only contact has been via emails.

I kind of keep forgetting that since my job hasn’t changed much, thankfully.

Just be careful, I hear she can be anal at times.

It's for real now.

Fine....just leave us. We don’t want you around any way! Tongue

Sooooooo. There's a better than average chance that I won't do it now.  Quite frankly, now that I've really been looking around the area, investigating houses, looking at the office...I really am not thrilled about the area.  It's almost Atlanta-esque as far as traffic, roads, congestion, and just pure number of people crammed in.  My daughters are not real happy that I'm having reservations...but hey, I have to do what is right for me.  I feel bad that I may upset them.  But that can't be the reason I make a decision.

I go back out on 7/1 for another try.  We'll see what happens.  I'm not feeling very positive about it.

I think maybe I've just gotten used to the small town mentality around Jacksonville.

Austin or San Antonio are nice sized, but the DFW area is a biiig hunk of city.

Bet the wife is happy.

I'm actually going to look in some cities close to DFW, but staying out of the DFW metroplex.  Denton seems nice and is rated 'one of the best places to live in Texas'.  Other recommendations were Duncanville, Lewisville, Cedar Hill, Garland, and Plano.  But these will all mean a 25-30 mile commute.  But bottom line, I'll still have to deal with the horrific traffic and crazy interstates (and interchanges).  It was [BLEEP] crazy last weekend.  And this was a weekend...with COVID restrictions still in place...and there were still traffic jams on the interstate.  It made me shudder to think about dealing with that on a daily basis.

I'll be going out again from 7/1 - 7/6 (which I already had planned prior to any job offers).  I'll try to keep an open mind.  The problem is, I already know what I know.

My Bff lives in the Dallas metroplex area and is always complaining about the traffic. There are a lot of people living there for sure. I enjoy it when I visit her, but I can’t say it’s my favorite place to be that’s for sure.
Guess you’ll have to find another place to watch Porn. Better off really. No company should be paying for Porn as HB mentioned. It would just eat out <ninja> of your bonus at the end of each year. Plus the traffic? [BLEEP] that! One bad traffic jam and I’d be the first one to be putting my fist where the sun don’t shine on the [BLEEP] that came in my way. You’re better off. Come on back to Jax. Come quick, or take you’re time. As long as you’re happy that’s all that matters.

We've got powdery mildew raging, botrytis, and summer rot all present.

I can barely get off the tractor long enough to sleep. Bring on July 10!!!

Wow.

Good luck mitigating those.

I haven't worked in 13 weeks, but I'll be performing for two weddings this weekend.
(I hate wedding gigs but I'm grateful to have any work right now)

On a related note, FL dept. of unemployment actually approved this self-employed gig-worker for a whopping $125 per week which has begun to trickle in retroactively.
So - I'm rich now - which is nice.

Hold up -  Shad Khan is getting back to me about renting the Kismet for the month of July...

If it makes you feel better, I'm working and I'm not even being paid for last year's crop yet, but to make up for it, they cut the grower price in half lol. Stupid Covid.

What's wrong with wedding gigs?

Hitting it with about 5 different chemistries tonight so I'll either kill the bugs or melt the vines. I'll know by Monday.

Why all the disease? Was it a wet spring?
