If the room rotates in the same direction as the earth, it may be a bit anticlimactic.

The best ones I’ve seen in person were a dry cleaner nearby.  They always had super witty/funny signs.  One of which I remember simply said “drop your pants here”. Or something of the sorts.  There’s a church over in JCP that is also a nursery, or let’s a nursery sell plants.  They usually have a sign that says “it’s Spring! I’m so excited I wet my plants”. I get a kick out of the “dad” jokes.  Even if they’re not really dad jokes.  I’m a sucker for puns.

Ya know what's that a sign of?

And here's a hint.. It's not a sign of growing up.

It's a sign that you have reached the mountain top. The precipice of golden grotesque. The heavens of heinousness.

In other words, you've seen, said, heard, repeated, dreamt of, actually done, bragged about it, felt ashamed about it, fetishized it and feel liberated about it.

I'll be the first to welcome you aboard.. So because you have seen, said and done all, you went back to the basics. And the basics are classic and they'll never die. Those, are the dad jokes.. And they'll forever be funny.

You went full circle..

And before anyone asks.. Lemon Cherry Gelato

That’s cool.  I don’t remember half the stuff I do or say either.  Idk if it’s an age thing or drinking thing. Probably poor combo of the two.

On this day in 2022, we're still waiting to find out the all-consuming question.

Who shot JFK?
So we live in a relatively quiet community (my wife and I).. Green Cove Springs, on the St Johns River. When we have the windows open, all you normally hear is nature. We have a family of squirrels and cardinals living in the small patch of woods next door to us, we have owls that hoot at another at night, back and forth, I even have somewhat of a pet bat that comes out at night when we're in the hot tub. He's always out at night, swoopin up the little flying bugs in zig zag formations (Named him Drac). Really peaceful though. Once in a while, you can hear a siren from an ambulance or police car off in the distance, somewhere down on SR17.. Great community!!

Now, somewhat diagonally from our house across the street was this vacant, but very nice house up for sale. There was a little old lady who lived in it for the longest time. Her husband passed about some 10+ years ago, and a few years ago, she passed away as well.. The house finally hit the market last summer. I think it was going for around $600k.. Beautiful house, nice big Live Oak in the front yard, just a beautiful brick home.

Well we got new neighbors a few months ago. Nobody has really seen or heard from them yet. The only thing we've been noticing is all the work trucks over there. They were ripping out hardwood floors, having expensive looking Italian Marble shipped and installed, knocking down walls and totally gutting the place. Not gonna lie, whenever they're through with it, it's gonna be close to a million dollar renovation..

Now I have somewhat of a routine.. In the morning, I like to go outside on my front porch and water my plants on my porch and turn on the sprinklers. I'll sit here at my little bistro coffe table (like I am now) and just drink my coffee and watch the squirrels and birds dive bomb the sprinklers as if they're bathing.

This morning, I noticed the new owners of that house were home and doing some work or at least, having more work done. Well, sound loves to travel when you're in a peaceful setting. You can hear people talking pretty clear while they walk or jog by. So basically, sound travels pretty good.

So I heard my new neighbors first public spat this morning. I was sitting here, drinking my coffee, watching my sprinklers and then I hear this guy's voice yelling at his significant other.. "I told you to shut up, I got this and I'll handle it". "Go back to whatever you were doing and leave me the hell alone!"

I thought to myself, uhoh, Green Cove, we have a problem lolol

Then about a minute later, the once quiet streets of Green Cove Springs was filled with Madonna's Vogue. About another minute later, these two (very flamboyant sounding) gay guys walk out of the house together and began to argue in their front yard, while Vogue was playing through their open windows lol..

Not gonna lie, pretty excited to see what they do with that house. I'm sure there's going to be some kind of marble statues outside, depicting some Greek God, penis out, spewing water into some marble basin.. And I'm good with that, if anything, might raise the property value around us even more.

The house is going to be a mansion by the time they're done. I just don't know if I can sit outside anymore and listen to the complete Madonna catalog every morning..

Come on!! Vogue!!

Add Peter Allen, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and Barry Manilow to that playlist. And maybe Elton.
