My neighbor takes care of a couple of stray cats. We can't keep the seat pad on our front porch bench because that's where they like to sleep and clean themselves. Stupid cats.

I hope your cat returns soon, Americus. She's probably out catting around.

She's a special kitty. Her name is Winter but we call her Winter Soldier because she's kind of a bad [BLEEP]. She's been through a lot in her 2 years. She runs ahead of us in the yard to make sure we see and pet her and scratch her behind the ears. Such a sweetie. A purr that was as loud as a lion.

We fear she may have tangled with hunting dogs or a coyote.

2020 you suck.

I hope she shows back up with some wild stories to tell! How long has she been missing?

Since Saturday night. That girl never misses a meal. She's been gone three meals now. Her and her brother were born under our house and their mom died when they were still kittens so we've been taking care of her/them and this is the only home they know.

Thanks. Yeah, we had to put chair covers on our outdoor chairs to keep the fur off of them.

There used to be a butt ton of squirrels around and they would chew through chair pads to get to the stuffing so they could build their nests. Thankfully the cats have kept that from happening anymore. We live outside city limits so we always have something going on. Squirrels, hunting dogs, coyotes, possums, etc.

My wife has a cat.
There is a large hawk living in our neighborhood.
Whenever I see the hawk, I put the cat out.
It's been 3 years and the hawk hasn't come through for me yet.  I even painted a bullseye on the cat's back.

Stupid hawk.
Eggnog is now being stocked in the store.

Lol. Is the cat rotund? It may be over the weight limit and the hawk ain't stupid. Our indoor only cat would definitely be a problem. He's a rescue and when he got neutered and started living the good life he porked out quite a bit.
First day off was AMAZING! Went to chiropractor. Got adjusted and electrocuted, then almost tripped over flat ground. Apparently one of my legs were were an inch longer than the other. Should’ve called me “Eileen”. Wasn’t used to it being even. I’m now taller and standing upright. First time I’ve been to one of those. I’ll keep trying it for a few. Felt good enough to unload and stack the rest of the wood I bought and split Kindling. Pulled out the angle grinder and cut up 3/4” pieces of solid steel for a “project”. Probably negated any chiropractor benefits. But whatevs. I can say “whatevs” now because I feel younger. That’s a plus. Wait, probably not. Either way, sounds like a win. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. (Unless I’m sore as crap)
Welp, sitting at the dermatologist waiting to donate more pieces. This one's a liitle worrisome...melanoma.
Man oh Man, you never know how my junk you have aquired until you have to pack it up for a move. Where does all the junk come from???????

Hopefully you caught it early.  Both my parents have had that on/off. Get it removed then popped back up later on.  I’m no Dr, but it’s my understanding that if caught early you’re more than likely will be alright. Not quite the sentence pancreas or lung cancer is.  Not trying to downplay yours or anything.   Hope all goes well.

I remember 12 years ago we bought our house.  We hardly had furniture to fill it let alone junk.  Had 3 of us, wife, stepson and I.   Stepson moves out a few years back but we made one ourselves.  So still 3 people.  Yet, we seem to not have room for anything.

If it makes you feel better, my mom has battled colon cancer and they speak of the skin cancer fairly nonchalantly.    Glad to hear he got it all.  Something for you to keep an eye on in the future.  And keep the rest of you healthy in the meantime.

Haha this sounds familiar

FYI, you can buy a TENS machine and save a little time/money if you think you'll benefit long term. Between that and a $30 foam roller I move around a lot better.

The thing I was amazed at when I was moving was the amount of coathangers that I had accumulated.
My house turned into Dad’s Free Storage facility after my kids moved out. I finally put my foot down and started texting pictures of stuff and asking “Do you want this? If so, you have one week to get it. Otherwise it’s gone.”
Funny how nostalgia melts away when it’s their space at risk. I hauled four truckloads to the landfill.

Complete opposite in my family. We all have a small pile of my dad's crap stuffed in a barn or shed.

Your dad sounds like a serious hoarder.
My dads garage is a mess.   Won’t throw anything out.  At one time he had a pressure washer.  Worked but it was a huge pain in the [BLEEP].  I borrowed  it one time.  He said hang on to it “in case I needed it again”.  Years went by ( I hate pressure washing so I since started  paying a friend that is in the business to do it) I keep asking dad if he wants it back.  Nah, hold onto it.   He didn’t want it in his garage, I didn’t want it in mine.  He didn’t want to get rid of it either.  It became a joke with us.  He’s get some mildew on his vinyl fence.  I’d say “hey dad, that’s looking pretty bad.  Want me to bring that pressure washer over?”  He’d say “No, I’ll just get a sponge and bucket.  It’ll be quicker and easier “.    Hey dad, that new paint on the house is looking a bit dirty, you really should pressure wash  it.  Or if he was washing the car I’d say “you know what would make this go faster, a pressure washer.  He finally set it out for trash (junk guy) once I finally have it back.

But I will say, I’ve got a poop ton of stuff at my place that’s his that’s useful and even better I didn’t have to pay for.  Table saw, nail guns, impact gun, so many various tools. So it’s a trade off.  I did manage to get him to hold onto a 52” ZTR I wasn’t using.  Until I finally decided to sell it.

With all the stuff I have of his at my place, only real issue is he thinks the stuff at his place is all his.  I can’t tell you how many “iron rakes” I’ve purchased because he keeps asking if I have one to borrow but then later thinks it’s his.  30.00 isn’t worth the argument. Next time he asks, “dad, you’ve got 5 in the garage!”
My father-in-law and MIL are terrible with accumulating and keeping stuff. They're not hoarders but they have a lot of stuff that means nothing to anyone but them. My FIL jokingly said we're, meaning me, my husband and sister-in-law, going to have "fun" going through their stuff when they die. I told my husband if it's left to me it will all go to the landfill after he and his sister keep what they want. If they can't bother to get rid of stuff as they go I can't be bothered to care about what happens to their junk.
