His receivers aren't helping at all but I agree, his accuracy overall is not what you want from a theoretical franchise QB. Hopefully it's something he can refine. The last potential franchise QB had accuracy issues too and I don't even want to consider what that could mean.

While it is way too early to judge if he will become the franchise savior it would be wise to entertain the thought that he may not be.   Again rookie mistakes like reading defense's is one thing.   Accuracy concerns is another.  I think we had a shot today if Lawrence was able to hit the easy throws.  He is missing throws by less than 10 yards at a fairly consistent level.  Thais not t good at all.

Accuracy tends to be a problem when footwork is a problem. Footwork tends to be a problem when the offensive line doesn't give a QB time to set his feet and follow through.
Did you watch his line today? How can he step into a throw when he constantly had 3 defenders in his face every play. It is ridiculous the amount of pressure and when he does throw a good pass they drop it.

Hyde, Dare on the most important drive of the game.

A great qb can't do it by themselves. The players need to catch the damn ball too
Hes going to have to turn into a gun slinger. Right now he doesnt look relaxed.
You already have a Trevor sucks thread why don’t you post this there
He sucks

Why do you read the thread knowing what it is about, then make a reply and click on said thread to cry about it?  Mysteries
Look at burrow with chase and tua with waddle today. Enough said.

Meaning he needs a great wr as well like burrow and tua, and it would make all the difference
The guy is horrible
No he hasn't been accurate but I'm not worried as long as we upgrade our oline and WR group in the off-season and that shouldn't be hard to do. I think his confidence is just down right now, I don't question his talent

Oh I did. It’s more incessant whining by you about Trevor sucking, which you already have started a thread about.
Trevor is the least of our problems.

Yep. The kid has no one.
People are often hesitant to change their opinion. They want to be right and refuse to do so even when the evidence warrants it. Which can be true of not only those who hoped Lawrence would be the Jags' savior but also those who said he was an overrated prospect from the beginning. And are now gloating so they can say they're right.

Realistically I think it's too early to tell one way or another. He does seem to have some accuracy issues at times and as mentioned above it looks like it occurs mostly when he doesnt get his feet set. Maybe he is one of those guys that needs that in order to throw an accurate ball. And he'll never attain that elite status because he can't throw off balance as effectively as needed.

But sometimes it's hard to tell. On that last 4 plays of the game, was Oshaun supposed to sit down the way the announcer thought? Was Shenault supposed to turn around at the sticks instead of running 5 yards beyond and then turning around? Were those miscommunications or were they just bad throws? Maybe it's just a repetition and practice issue. Seems hard to believe he can throws darts 25 yards down the field between defenders but is then incapable of consistently hitting a guy running a 5 yard out.

I'm sure everyone is disappointed that we haven't seen more. Obviously the receiving talent isn't great. The playcalling is head scratching at times. And those things only exacerbate the issue when Lawrence gets a little wild at times. But I think it's too already gloat and to define his future is just chest beating by those who want to be right. The talent is obviously there. Personally I think it's far too early to write him off as just an average QB.

And Wilson has Moore

Probably the most sober take I’ve seen. And yes. Some of the “fans” basically are so eager to say “told you so”. They don’t realize the irony.

To sum up my position, no one can say with a straight face that if Mac Jones was here, and Trevor was in NE, that Trevor wouldn’t be in the RoTY convo and Jones wouldn’t be currently roasted by the said “Jags fans”

I think what you're saying is we can't assume anyone is doing anything correctly because the coaching has been so bad, so it's hard to pin anything on Trevor, and you're right, it is. What I do know is he often puts a ball in his guy's hands and they drop it, so even when the execution is fine as far as the ball being on target and the receiver being in position to make the catch they constantly drop it anyway.
We will need to draft another QB in the next couple years with the expectation TL has no interest playing past his 5th year here. Maybe use that time to build up the rest of the roster.
Yeah, I'm kinda feeling TL is teetering toward hard bust territory. You really hate to see a guy everyone was touting as the next Andrew Luck go out there and look like the 2nd coming of Gabbert. All the physical tools, but just can't produce on Sundays.
