(01-01-2022, 04:37 PM)OzJohnnie Wrote: [ -> ]Speaking of adjusted expectations, here's Belichick in the same press conference speaking of Zac Wilson.  Who does he rate more?  Wilson or Lawrence?

“He’s an explosive player… got a great arm… a live arm. Can make all the throws. Every time he goes out there and plays well, and has the opportunity to get better.

It’s impressive. Whether it’s out of the pocket, in the pocket, it’s the unpredictability that comes with players like that. We have to be ready to defend it”

So when BB offers praise for Trevor’s game is coach speak but when it’s for Wilson it’s legit. I.e, heads you win tails I lose.

Praise?  He didn't offer praise.  He said he "thinks" TL will be "solid".  He said the Jags have a "good level of execution" on offense.  Really?  Belichick is a complete moron?  I didn't realise that.  He said TL is "pretty good at making throws" while he said Wilson has "got a great arm… a live arm. Can make all the throws."  Every time Wilson plays it is "impressive."

Who was being complimented and who wasn't?

Both were. He used different adjectives is all. You just look for any opportunities to bash Trevor as you’ve already made your mind up
Trevor's fault though right clowns? LOL.

Professional football players make that catch all day long.

Most of us are just pointing out that the pass was bad. Catch or not he was going no where for no gain because of a terrible 2 yard pass.

Hero ball wouldn't be 5 yard passes turned to ints.

Why does he keep throwing that way then? Haven't the coaches told him he needs to throw catchable balls?

You throw it in the lane you have.

This 100%, ball placement is everything in the NFL and Trevor just doesn't put it "there" enough. But let the teal glasses boys have their win, it certainly is "catchable" but would have gone nowhere anyway because the ball placement was atrocious.

As I said in the game thread. It's very obvious who does and doesn't watch football when they continue to say that isn't a catchable ball. Every QB makes that throw, every single week, the difference is their receivers catch it and ours don't.

It's catchable dude, I dont think anyone would argue that, the problem is the placement of the pass being so bad that the receiver has to adjust so much to catch it.. Meaning he can't just get up field and gain yards asap. Its still a bad throw... he catches it he gains a yard... Understand?

Or he catches it, makes a guy miss and takes it 15 yards. You know, what other teams do routinely every Sunday.

Yeah, you haven't watched Lawrence. That much is clear.
Another stellar game for the Golden boy. 193 yards passing, 3 ints, 1 Td from a screen pass. Simply horrendous. Only a Jaguar fan can defend this.

You have to understand that it's the receivers fault. Mac Jones has superstars like Kristian Wilkerson but who is playing for the Jags?

No, that's your revision of what was said.

Mac Jones got to play the Jags. Everyone is an All Pro against those losers.
