Quote:I can't believe we're arguing about whether we should be happy about winning a game.   Ridiculous.

Colts fans were CRUSHED when they lost to us and had to take Luck.
Quote:The people who want them to be good wanted the Texans to win.

Not sure if you realize this, but we are still awful and have no QB. Winning that game does not change that.

Winning that game also didn't change the draft order.
Quote:Funny...

The Jags are in a position where they can actually win out and make the playoffs, or lose out and get the #1 pick, and they're capable of beating each team on their schedule.

Truly, this is the rarest of times.

Pick your poison.

The odds of the Jaguars making the playoffs are .002%

haha, it definitely is really strange.
Quote:No, I don't want a really lousy team.  We already have a really lousy team.

Apparently not as bad as we thought.   I'm happy we're not as bad as we thought.    A few weeks ago, we were the worst team of all time and a lock to go 0-16.   I'm glad we're not that bad.   Even if it means we can't have Teddy Fricken Bridgewater.
Quote:Alex smith has a similar scouting report like teddy

No he doesn't. You just heard some awful page hit machine at a network make that comparison, even though he was just referring to grade scores.
Quote:Late season wins like this when the team is already in the midst of a terrible season, accomplish little other than helping ensure that we'll be in this similar situation again next season.

The only way to get out of this is by getting the stud QB.

The Colts bottomed out and got Luck.

The Texans appear smart enough to just bottom out this season and get Bridgewater.

Yet, you people sit here and champion an unimpressive 13-6 win against a 2-8 team and act like its the best thing since slice bread.

You are some of the most short sighted fans I have ever seen, not understanding the fallout of winning these late season nothing games as it pertains to the future. These wins aren't benefiting this team any. But you can't see that.
I see - throw a game so you can get the QB you want.  Why don't we fake 22 injuries the next time we play Houston?  That way we would be sure to get your QB.
Quote:I agree TMD...what did we really win by beating Indy that last game?  I'd say in the end we lost.  Take a look at our point differential this year...I did...Its -182.  The next closest is the Jets at -101.  Houston is -90.  So we likely just handed Houston the #1 pick in the draft (look at their schedule, they have the upper hand) and they are back on their way to competing for the Division next season and we will all be back here 1 year from now looking up from the bottom of the league tables.  It is a must that we lose to Houston in two weeks...a must.
Nope they showed that the fans in the stands can be proud.   Cause at the end of the day it is a business and all about people in the stands.
Quote:So if Houston drafts teddy will you leave here?   Since makes no difference either way.   Not like your ever going to go to Ever bank and watch a game anyway.

This is funny how you act like you've been going to their home games for 20 years. You just moved there, chump. You were just like any other of us out of state fans before that. Now you act all high and mighty with the above. Get lost.
Quote:Teams can get better without winning meaningless games.

LOL.

Not familiar with Chad Henne I take it.
Of course I am, but I'm also familiar with how terrible our opponents are.

Not sayin', Just sayin'

Go for it.

For me, I would be more excited to see the Jaguars LOSE but play a very close game against a good team.  They haven't done that once.
Quote:Winning that game also didn't change the draft order.

For now. But it very well might.

You should read up on Alex smiths scouting report before his draft

What would be the point be in even making the playoffs if the expense is getting such with an awful draft pick, no qb, and a first round exit?

A big +1 for you, sir!

You should read up on David Carr's.
Quote:You must be a guy that only evaluates QB by stats only.

Teddy has command of the QB position that is top notch and while he's not better than guys like Luck/ Aikman/ Manning, he's certainly good enough that he deserves to be mentioned in their class.

Teddy has arguably one negative - his smallish frame. Thats it.

Theres nothing else regarding the position that Teddy doesn't rate very high.
I couldn't agree more TMD..well said.  Brigewater's pocket awareness is off the charts.  I have watched him a ton.  His pocket awareness reminds me of luck.  Never gets flustered and when the pocket breaks down he is constantly sliding and moving, ALL WITH HIS HEAD UP AND DOWNFIELD.  Add to that his accuracy.  All his throws are in the receivers catch radius.  Almost all his throws are capable of being caught.
Its hard to get the number 1 pick. Right now we are still the favorites for it though.

Please stop the freaking out and save it for the next time we win.

Weirder things have happened. I'm just saying that the Jaguars are in a position where they wouldn't need an impossible amount of help to make the wildcard if they somehow won out.

The race is so ridiculous this year that if the Jags had won in Arizona, we'd be talking about the Jaguars controlling their own destiny.

It's gonna happen until our next game sadly. But its really entertaining
