Quote:If I evaluated on stats wouldnt i be all for Teddy? Arent his stats good?

He doesn't put up the video game numbers that some other QB do in other gimmicky offenses.

Teddy plays in a pro style offense with WR that aren't all that great other than Parker...as well as having an OC that is over-dependent on the running game. His OC seems to need to be reminded that he has the best QB in college football behind Center.

I think people are failing to realize that we are STILL in the driver's seat for the top pick.  I don't expect that to change in the next six weeks.

Quote:Our GM can IR and cut people.  I expect the players to try and win.  Our front office has some control though.  Look at Houston.  You really think they are kicking the tires on Keenum?  He is awful, everyone can see.  They are playing him because it increases the odds of them losing.

Do you remember the beginning of the year when Schaub single handedly lost 4 games straight with pick 6's?

He also is a in the pocket for most part qb.   We cant win or wont win with that.   Our line is not designed for that.   That is why David did much better then both blaine and chad.

I love when I hear people say that because we beat the Texans in Houston, we are going to beat them here as well.

Like we have a good record at home or something.

i think that is why they got Joekel

Just like I said 3 weeks ago.....its funny how people don't understand how easy the 2nd half of the Jags schedule is. 2 wins later, they still apparently don't get it,,,,

Oh, I didn't realize that we will be keeping the same OL over Teddy's career. My bad.

The above is laughable.

In the pocket for the most part QB is  exactly the kind of QB we want.  Our line can be designed for that.  Garrard did better than Blaine and Chad because Blaine and Chad don't have the talent.  Garrard still wasn't good enough.
And if we get bridgewater then what?   . He has no pass blocking line nor a pass rush to help in shoot outs.   Realistically if Caldwell can create value trade down

If we lose out on Bridgewater (God, I hope not), but we then need get Clowney and then trade back into the 1st round for Tajh Boyd, Derek Carr, or Zach Mettenberger. My choice is Tajh Boyd.. If we miss out on Bridgewater, only way I won't completely lose it is in that situation. Don't worry, I would still be LIVID.

Just when I thought this thread had reached maximum level dumbness...

oh, I dunno......draft/ sign more OL to improve that area? ...or is that just crazy talk?....

LOL, you act as if Caldwell gets 1 single addition per offseason...

Our line isn't designed for anything. That's something that must be changed right alongside fixing the QB. But in no way does it invalidate the desperate need to grab a top flight QB the moment the opportunity presents itself.

Or is your post are the laughable ones.   I seam to remember the majority of picks you went googly eyes over stink.   Need a mallet?   Dillard will save the day?  Lets call on Jennings.  Or a nobody from central Michigan.  And it goes on and on.  Cause here comes the Lane.   hahaha

His numbers ciuld be much better if he didnt miss on most of the wide open throws down field. He is a good prospect but not who u think he is and might not even be the best QB to come out of this class.

You're underestimating how bad we suck.  I know you like to complain, for whatever reason, but we're going to have the top pick next May.

A part of me thinks, if we do get the top pick and draft Teddy, you'll flip flop -- like you usually do -- and call him overrated and continue to moan about the state of the franchise.  I'm calling it now.

I don't agree with what he said either.

But, you do realize that the other side feels that "pro meaningless win" crowd's arguments are just as dumb. It goes both ways.
Quote:lol, u obviously didnt see Schaub play this year

The scary thing is that I have, haha.

Jennings is doing pretty well in Oakland lately, paint chips. Mallett? Who knows, he's never got the opportunity yet.

Don't ever think a thread can't get any dumber.   It can always get dumber.  There's no limit.
