Quote:No, I saw the right hand side of those scores too. Except the left hand side wasn't missing any of its star players. The right side is.
Yet...oddly, the Jaguars scored 20 and 14 against those two teams with Gabbert and Henne at QB.
Quote:LOL....this is like deja vu, same lame excuse was made in Indy with Caldwell a few years back....
Its called $$$ "kickbacks". He's out the door anyway. Getting another asthetic win or 2 at this point that does nothing to help Kubiak, but hurts the Texans chances for the top pick does no one any good for the organization.
How freakin' stupid can you be....

Jags have better offensive weapons outside of QB than the Colts do (without Wayne)

funny I think the same question for you...
I think it funny how mad you seem to get - its almost as if you have personal stake in not wanting it to get out there that teams like the Colts& Texans in fact are tanking/ have tanked in past
Quote:ding ding ding ding!!
winner winner chicken dinner.
Starting Gabbert all year likely would have worked.
they're not starting Keenum for that reason, they're trying to see if he's any good
Gabbert has had his chance, to say the least

It is deja vu all over again. Not everything is a conspiracy theory. I doubt Kubiak has spent the last 20 years being an NFL coach just to tank and likely get fired. Some people actually have integrity. Not sure you would understand what that is apparently.
we are very bad, and I'm confident we will have the 1st or 2nd pick next year. clowney isn't a bad consolation prize.

Um, newsflash....he's getting fired anyway. He's probably known that for a few weeks now, at least. At this point, "not tanking" isn't saving his job, so the owner will just sweeten his "severence pay" for decisions like starting and keeping in Case Keenum vs the Jags which ensures the desired outcome for McNair.

Don't know what makes you confident of the Jags getting that pick, considering the schedule....they've now won 2 of their last 3.

Right. And if we decide to start Stanzi or Scott to "see if he's any good", is that tanking? If you say no, then great, we have no problem because that's pretty much all the "tankers" have suggested.
Let's be real guys, once you know the season is going nowhere, there is legitimate value in seeing what you have on guys you might not play otherwise. But doing that when you fully expect them to fail (otherwise, you'd have been playing them all along) is a form of tanking. And it's one that isn't fully transparent. Some will choose to ignore the second part of that equation and focus only on the first, but it doesn't change what it is.

If he knew he was "getting fired anyway", then why would he even be coaching now? He could have easily just taken time off after collapsing a few weeks ago at halftime.

Did you watch the game yesterday? Ryan Davis, Jordan Todman, Austin Pasztor, Clay Harbor, Winston Guy. What do you call it when those guys are getting playing time?
I love Teddy Bridgewater. I think he's going to be really good, but I love the Jags more. Great team effort. We will be picking top 5.
Like Gus Bradley has been preaching..
"THEY WILL COME IN BUNCHES!!!"
Quote:Did you catch the post game interviews? Do you get the feeling TB is coming out?
IMO there is no way he stays for his senior season. I didn't catch the interview.

Oh we'll be picking top 5 alright....for years....unless we finally get the franchise QB, which Bridgewater had a better chance to be than any other QB this draft.
Quote:...The best we have?...
So then who are they not playing fi most of the guys playing are practice squad/street free agent types?

I agree Teddy is the best QB, but let's see what happens over the last few weeks. We still might be picking first.
