Sorry about your wife's aunt Rico. It sucks. Not sure how close you are to her yourself ( the wife's aunt not wife) but my wife's mom just the other day found out she had pancreatic cancer. So ma-in law and wife have ( expectedly) been pretty upset. I feel your pain and wish you and your family nothing but the best, my brother.

I've up`t my dose of beer with my wife going through what's going on with her mom. It's an in-law....enough said... Having said that... We love their offspring and it hurts them so much. We just have to put our big husband pants on and be the man we are ( not much in my case) for our wives. I'm sure you don't need to know that being older ( waaaaaaaaaaaaay much older and wiser than I, did I say waaay older yet,?) and much wiser. Got a great opportunity just placed in my lap today. Not to mention I'm in the process of updating my website. Between the two, it gives me a great opportunity to, not only create more business but also, capitalize on my previous endeavors. The new bid ( huge contract that would increase revenue about 32% ) plus the ongoing updating of my website, which would increase more traffic to site, look more up to dat/professional add more business along with my combining the two and adding my fellow friends in relevant ( yet not similar) industries) could potentially take my business above and beyond what I have originally expected. Sure it's doing great now ( because, after all, you should all know I'm a freaking genius) but it's offering up a great opportunity to expand waaay farther than I ever imagined.



Should I start looking for an upgrade to my cardboard box? Maybe, we'll see.

Hasn't come to fruition yet, I've still got to do my part and impress the decision makers on the current job and talk a few other businesses into what I'm thinking. But it's looking pretty solid. Both of the opportunities aren't reliant on each other, which is great. Even if I miss out on one I can capitalize one the other. Lol, so I guess I've got two opportunities to fail. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worse.

Just remember 1) never use your product  2) always give just a little away for free, and 3) don't brag about yourself, especially around potential competitors.   :woot:

I don't like working night shift. It feels like life goes on without me and I just play catch up all the time. That and no one is ever online at 4 in the morning (EST, of course).

I had a couple of Egg McMuffins on the way in this morning. That is so out of the norm for me. I usually walk my 5.2 miles and eat a bowl of cereal.


Why is it that something as crappy as that can taste so good sometimes? Maybe it's that 'I know I shouldn't have done it factor'....living on the edge and all.
