I know what you mean... from 1990 up until about 1999 was when I was interested..
So, I'm on the night shift (as usual) and I have Google Play going through my headphones..
Playlist includes AFI, The Movielife, Millencolin, Bad Religion, Saves The Day, Less Than Jake plus so many others.. music makes my night shifts so much more bearable!

About 9 years ago before I started in automotive my last job was an overnight shift ran 7 days from 8-8 and then j had 7 days off. It was bitter sweet, on my 7 off days I'd spend the first three trying to sleep at night again. Get the normal two days off then back to trying to stay up all night. It was hard on the body.

Amen to that man, mine isn't quite like that, but we don't do blocks of days or nights... Our blocks start with 3 x 12 hour days shifts then straight onto 2 x 12 hour night shifts.. I don't mind so much because I'm used to it but that first night shift is really hard because I'm in 'day mode' if that makes sense.. Where I've been getting up at 5.30am for a day shift, even if I get up at 8am on the morning of my first night, my body thinks it's had a lie in.. That is the beginning of a grooling 24 hours, for me anyway..
I'm not sure if I've explained that very well.. But hey I'm in between night shifts, so Never mind... Haha.
So I finally got the confirmation letter for my divorce today.. which is a relief because my wedding is booked for 4 months time...
We had been separated for a number of years, and the divorce was in motion but the paperwork took months to come through!!
I'm finally a free man, for now... so tonight I celebrate with a 12 hour night shift! PAARTAYY!

Hope the old alimony monster doesn't bite ya too bad.

We have severed all financial ties.. the whole divorce has cost me around £200, we are very amicable.
I pay monthly maintenance to her as my son lives with her, that's a seperate thing though.. to be completely honest with you, I've been quite lucky with the process. You really do hear some horror stories regarding divorces.
Just watched a Christmas special that I haven't seen since I was a kid.. Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas.. It's still awesome as hell..
Ain't no hole in the wash tub...
I'm working from home today. So I guess I'll have some pudding and then take a nap.

Sounds more like kindergarten than a work from home day.

Mine cost me $30,000, I kept the kids, and she paid no support.
Edit: And it was worth every penny.
The sad look I get every morning from the laundry room floor when I leave for work:

Can't you reed? I said it was looking at me...not talking to me.
Your dum.
Great. Now I'm gonna be worried about my Washing Machine looking at me when I get home.

You'd be able to better see the look the floor was giving me if the dog wasn't in the way.
