It would be one thing if Lawrence had addressed the media, say, like Josh Rosen did during the combine and draft process. Or, had he pulled some trade nonsense like Eli Manning did when the Chargers selected him. If he was over the top with his attitude like Cam Newton or a little bit too lippy and mouthy for his own good like Baker Mayfield?

I would understand the hate. He's very humble though. He didn't tout himself as some generational talent neither. That's up to the media and analysts to make that determination. So far this year though he's playing pretty damn good football while learning a new system and gelling with new players.
Some people are just negative at heart and have to have something to complain about...I live in New England...Maine... but I remember back when bledsoe got hurt and Brady came in.... everyone hated Brady saying he sucked... someone even wrote in the job box Brady sucks lol.... anyways obviously they were wrong... I feel the same way about Trevor...not that I think he sucks but that people are wrong and will look back and see they were foolish....I for one believe that he will be a franchise quarterback and one day take us to the super bowl.... If not many

I dont think anyone is criticizing Trevor for poor throws against the eagles. It was his unforced turnovers that were the issue. Not that the rain wasnt the cause but my god man you just cant fumble 4 times and two times it be completely on you, its one thing to get stripped by to just drop it is embarrassing and to not Be able to recover ones that you dropped and are closest too is also bad. Hurts dropped one himself and he fell on it like his life depended on it.

Read carefully.

No one. At all. Is denying. What you just said.

However. It wasn’t indicative of the future QB he will turn out to be. Future is still very bright.

Eagles game. Very bad.
Trevors future as a franchise QB. Very good.

I hear what you are saying but my biggest question mark so far this year is, will he show up when the team needs him to. So far hes been given two 4th quarter last minute drives to go and tie the game or take the lead. Once in washington, and the other in philly. Both times he dropped the ball, literally. One pick, and one ugly fumble. Hes looked really good this year when the defense has him in a good position. But hes been questionable anytime he has been asked to go win the game for us. I think we all know he has the ability to make the throws, but does he have the mental capacity to overcome the pressure is the question thats got to be answered before we know if this is the guy or not.

Look at that. Also fair!

He hasn’t had a game defining drive…. Yet. That takes time for a lot of QBs. Peyton Manning could never win the big one…. Until he did.

I have no doubt in my mind that Trevor is the guy for this franchise and one that will lead it to consistent success. Now will that lead to Super Bowls? I hope so but the AFC is LOADED. Mahomes, Josh Allen, Burrow, Lamar, Herbert…. All are in the AFC. The best thing going for Trevor is that he could get a stranglehold on the AFCS very quickly.

Like I said. Brighter days ahead.

Technically, pro football reference credits him with GW drives against Miami and Buffalo last year.

Difference with Hurts literally nobody was by him... he was in shotgun and the ball literally hit him in the legs.... The fumbled snaps from Trevor He's literally in the middle of the pile anybody could come up with that ball... The one on the run there was a player bearing down on him... And are you trying to say he wasn't trying to get the ball...his life didn't depend on it as if he didn't care

The last drive of the Philly game he literally got hit as he was trying to make a play... the offensive line got blown up.... I would put that less on him and more on the offensive line in my opinion.... And he has put together a couple game-winning drives
Also, Hurts didn't actually recover that fumble.. Sanders did.

Good point... Chris is reaching for every little thing to validate his point of Trevor.... even trying to say he didn't try hard enough to recover a fumble

I can agree with most of this. At least you are prefacing some of your scrutiny with some acknowledgment of his capabilities. I mean it is impossible to deny the things you pointed out. However, to me (and most people who are fans of the team) his body of work this year has shown more positive than negative. To the degree that Sunday almost looks like more of the outlier given the circumstances(rain and facing a team that is on top of the league).

Where we differ is that you need these “questions” answered for you to believe in the kid and you justify this how ever you need but I don’t. This is a dude that I have watch make throws and carve people up far more than not for quite a while(as an fsu fan I had to watch him his entire college career not just highlights and bowl games). So these glaring holes that you see don’t track the same way for me I guess. At least not to the point where I have to question his mental capacity.

At the end of the day I’m more than satisfied knowing my team has a him at 22y/o under this head coach and can see the potential for big things.

Doesn’t matter much but one of the fumbles was a sack on 4th down where the defender who fell on it may have gain a yard from the sack would have occurred had he not fumbled. Pretty much makes the recovery completely meaningless besides a stat.
I just watched every replay with lawerance from the last game. Honestly even the two fumbles where he didn't feel the pressure I think weren't his fault, I just felt like Taylor was getting beat like a rag doll and a great play by the eagles, same with the interception. The 4th down one I feel was weather condition, but I think that was Lawrence fault, cause no one touched him. The fumbled snap I don't know who to blame, but I would put that on lawarance too if I had to pick.

But even with all that. He looked good. He was keeping his eyes downfield even with heavy heavy pressure. He was looking for the big play. If he could have looked off the eagle defender on that interception, that would have been a goat level play, he almost got it even when he didn't. I think if it wasn't raining, we would have scored over 30 easily and I think likely won. Trevor is for real.

Wasn't Hurts' fumble an early snap while he was in the gun?

correct, even if we recover, turnover on downs. Kinda ticked me off that the in-game stats were considering that play in points off turnover stats, the FR was essentially meaningless outside of keeping us from reaching the line to gain.
Outlier game.

Whatever.  [BLEEP] happens.
It’s a week to week league. Let’s see what happens Sunday.
Are we still talking about the Philly game? Let go, people.

It just sucks because if we won that game we would be 3-1 alone at top with a slew of easy games on our schedule this month. I think barring another meltdown in the rain we should be fine but who knows.

I think "a slew of easy games" is overstating things a bit.  We're not so powerful a team that we can just check off a bunch of wins.  It's going to be ups and downs this season.  Exhilarating wins and aggravating losses.  That's the nature of progress.

You don’t think the Ravens are kicking themselves? They should be 4-0.

It happens in the NFL. Regroup and focus on Houston.
