Love the sig lol

A shame that has been our theme all season long. They stay beating themselves.

I'm over this kid.  He doesn't have it.  And Doug's [BLEEP] wildcat playcalls and game management ain't it either.

I'm done with these [BLEEP] moral victories.  We went 0-4 in the easiest stretch of our schedule.  I'm supposed to be happy we're 2-5?  [BLEEP] that.  We were leading the division in week 3.

Not happy.

How mild contentment and more hope in a team that doesn't look like a laughingstock/cautionary-tale like it has for most the past 10 years.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s not a bust…yet. But he’s showing mediocrity every week

I still don't think he's a bust. He was the best QB in the draft last year. I just don't think he has been anywhere near the expectations people had for him.

My problem with him is his accuracy on passes past 20 yards. He consistently overthrows and he still misses the touches.

I don't think he's a bust, but I don't think he's a top 10 QB either.

No such thing as “easiest stretch of a schedule.” These are all professional football teams with the most elite gifted football players on the planet. No game is easy.

It further proves that you still have to show up and play. All that easy stretch of a schedule and teams we are supposed to beat is all fanspeak. Any team in pro football can win on any given Sunday.

No you’re not supposed to be happy with moral victories. It just shows that we can play with any team in the league and we have yet to be blown out.

Lol, no, I just see a young QB playing like a young QB, and a bunch of posters on here who think that NFL QBs don't miss passes. And we lost this week again on the last play at the goal line. Every week we're in these games and people with limited perspective don't understand that's how this works.

You're missing the point. I don't criticize him for missing a few passes here and there. I criticize him for making the same mistakes every week.

He's a below average NFL QB. He is what he is.
He's Andy Dalton with more arm talent.
It doesn’t matter if a few posters on the internets have lost confidence in TL. It matters if his teammates have. Time to go on body language watch.
Trevor had a average game today, nothing to complain about. There are a dozen more things gs to complain about than Trevor today
Why is that so many people on the board have this expectation of Trevor that he was supposed to be -- or should be right now -- a finished product?

I know the hype was lot that he was the best prospect since Luck. That was a bit much but it does mean he will be equal to Luck. I just means he has one of the easiest progression pathways to being very good since Luck compared those draft after him. Mostly because he meets the traditional metrics for what people think a QB should be. But that progressive is never easy or straight forward.
Josh Allen was not turning the corner until year 3. Daniel Jones finally looks good year 5. I would not give up on Trevor. He is the type of QB who can play and be great for a long time if you give him the time to develop. He is already good enough to win. We are in every single game within one score. We literally lost by half a yard today against a 6-1 team. Patience.

Why was this thread made in his 2nd year then and he had nothing to work with? Year 2 you could see him changing the corner the gave him some help year 3

You don’t draft a project at #1

Yup. Trevor didn't win us the game but he wasn't the big reason we lost like against Philly and the tinhorns.

Please tell me the last QB draft anywhere in the draft that was not project of some sort. It was probably Andrew Luck and he was a savant.

Any QB drafted at number 1 has those expectations, or you don’t draft him at one

This. Trevor was a better QB in college than Mahomes or Allen. They're all projects for the pros.

So you would have been okay the Jags trading out of that pick and a bevy of draft picks?

I remember having this conversation with a friend of mine before the draft. I wondered what it would have taken for me to trade out of that pick. For the hype that was on Lawrence, I expected a 3 first rounders and 3 second rounders kind of haul. I would have probably taken it.
