Isn't it odd when the best we can say about our generational player is that he was "fine"?

20-22 for 165 and 2 tds .... not bad for a dude that just turned 23 this month

The team scored 4 TDs and on the last drive Trevor made multiple clutch throws to move the chains. He had a good game when the offensive line wasn't going turnstile.

Anyone downing the guy for today's performance doesn't understand football.

He was much better than "fine".

It won’t be.

Statistically it didn’t look glamorous but the three main positive signs I saw were:

-No turnovers and no throws even close to it
- using his legs and taking smart yards
- leading that clutch drive in the 4th

Good synopsis.  If TL can play out this year by consistently turning out games like this then he’ll do ok.  The Jags will still struggle to win but that’s a different kettle of fish.  It’s important that this year he stops giving the team reasons to lose.  Learn to do that first, then he can start looking to give the team reasons to win during the last 1/3 of the season.

I'm not blaming him, I'm agreeing he was fine. We just need better than fine at the QB position, greatness would be appreciated in a number 1, generational draft pick.

He scored three times today and didnt turn the ball over after giving it up seven times in the last two. It's not odd. It truly is, just, fine.

It's coming. Not even 25 games into his career yet. 2nd year with a new coach, new system and new players on offense. Patience is key here.

I'm not sure the team is capable of allowing him to show more than what he's showing right now.

The sad thing is if the defense were as good as Trevor the team would be at 4 or 5 wins by now.

Chris Jackass Boy needs to start a thread about what a bust Travon Walker is now that he’s cost us 2 games in a row since he ‘hates players who suck’ (his words, not mine), or he’s the biggest troll/fraud on the board.

Someone already started a thread about benching Walker.

And for a QB to reach greatness, he at least needs the team around him to be "fine". The OL couldn't pass block for [BLEEP] today and the Defense was awful.

You have a lot of confidence. What has he done to make you think he's capable of becoming a great QB? I've seen flashes but that's not enough, even just 25 games in.  What I see is a turnover prone, inaccurate QB who makes bad decisions and occasionally makes wow plays. You could describe Blake Bortles that way back in the day too.
Trevor was pretty good today. And I’ve been very harsh on him

Miami in London last year. Home closer last year. Weeks two, three and today this year. All with nobody on offense last year and Urban Miller as the coach and that clown show and now learning a new system with a rookie center and virtually an entirely new set of skill position players around him.

I see a resilient young man keeping his head above water and I see that, maybe not this year, but, certainly next year with Pederson? I think he'll be routinely great. Especially if they get him a 6'4 WR and another TE. It's coming. Trust the process.

I'm more concerned about our defense than anything

I've been saying this for the past five games.... The defense has let us down as good as they play throughout the game... they allow game-winning drives at the end of the game to let the opponent score and take the lead... Washington if the defense stops them we win Texans if the defense stops them we win... this game if the defense stops them we win.... And even with the Philly game we were still in it we just couldn't stop them at the end of the game.... Trevor and the offense puts up enough points... we need the defense to step up at the end of the game and stop the opponent when it's a close game and they have yet to do it this year
I do think that 4th Q drive deserves some praise. Sad that it turned out for nothing but an 18 play, 10 minute odd drive was a thing of beauty. Some big 3rd down conversions on it and the Colts D was flying at the start of that drive but the O managed to keep moving the chains and establishing dominance on that drive.

Definitely a bright spot from today.

Its a fair point. Fans expect O's to take you down the field for the game winning drive but that same expectation should be on a D to get a stop to win you a game. You understand if it's Mahomes doing his absurd stuff.

Admittedly the league is more favorable to O's and people want to see O's win a game but the teams left standing in January usually have a good D too.

The Eagles game and the Texans game we lost because of the offense, today we lost because of the defense
28 points on the road should get u a dub. It's not his fault the running backs went for 240. Game on the line he delivered, griffin didnt!
