Erm I didn't. I said a part of the fanbase, and like half of those who have concerns are just trolls.

I get the legitimate issues some have.

You're right. My bad. Too many beers and too much passion.

Andrew Luck was a 54% passer his rookie year and he threw 18 Ints. Lamar Jackson got 7 starts and went 58% with 6 TDs and 3 picks, Watson played well in limited games before his knee injury. Wilson went to a .500-ish team in Seattle and played well. You seem to have this penchant for warping history to your preferred narrative even if it means you have to ignore the facts. Of course you also choose to omit that most of those guys went to teams that were light years better than the Jaguars. But that's to be expected. Shame.
Seems to me hes not warping history but rather you are, because you compare “first years” and then compare him to guys such as lamar who didnt even play half a year and then compare him to luck only with the interception stat rather than the full thing so lets do some fact checking shall we.

Trevor Lawrence has played in 22 games and has
20 tds to 21 interceptions.

Lamar Jackson in 22 games: 42 passing tds, 9 int along with 12 rushing tds

Andrew Luck first 22 games: 33 td 20 int along with 8 rushing tds

Deshaun Watson first 22 games 45 tds 17 ints along with 7 rushing tds

I did lawrence a solid and kept his absurd fumble number out to try and help him not look too bad.

Damn I didn't realize how good Lamar was those first 2 seasons lol.

Lol, it's pretty hard to hit the ground running when you're sitting on the bench. The point is that he said the great ones do it, I showed 6 decades worth of great ones that didn't and he thinks he's right. Then he went to current ones and they really didn't either as even you show by having to extend it out over multiple seasons.  So yeah, still wrong.

Lol extended to multiple seasons? Yeah for trevor too. Its the first 22 games of all of their careers.

But okay lets just do rookie season
Trevor: 12 td 17 ints 17 games
Watson: 19 tds 8 ints 6 games
Luck: 23 td 18 int 16 games
Lamar: 6 td 3 int 5 rush td - 7 games started, 6-1 record also in those games.

Nobody is wrong except for you and nyc, yall are bias bafoons who cant accept that your wrong. This isnt the nfl you used to watch as a kid in the 60s grandpa in todays nfl qbs dont take years to develop. josh allen is the exception not the rule.

LMAO And if any one of those quarterbacks were put in the situation that Trevor was in his first year they would have the same numbers if not worse....

?
This is the 2022 season, not 2021 or the 2021 roster. This team signed a big time WR in Kirk. So it's not like Lawrence doesnt have weapons to put up big numbers..... theres plenty of other QBs in different teams with no weapons.

Seems like its pretty much excuses for the posterboy child in this board.

I'm fine with the statement that Lawrence is better than Bortles. (That's not who you should be comparing him too) I'm also fine with game managers, but theres a fine line that comes with that. Dont expect him to carry this team..... hopefully Pederson realizes this and makes this offense balanced.

Kirk has never had a 1,000 yard season.  Neither has Zay Jones.  In fact, his best over a 6 year career is 652 yards.  The only receiver to have a 1,000 yard season is Marvin Jones and that was only once over a nine year career and it happened 5 years ago.  He's an aging player that is past his prime.  The bottom line is that the Jaguars' starting receivers only have one 1,000 yard season combined over 19 seasons in the NFL and you criticize a young quarterback for not having a 400 yard game?  Is an AFC offensive player of the week not good enough for you?
I see many criticizing Lawrence's last game and no, it wasn't good but was it THAT bad?  He had 286 passing yards.  That would be a career high for Trey Lance and with one exception each, it would be a career high for Zach Wilson and Justin Fields as well.  Even Mac Jones, who has the GOAT as a HC, it would be a top 5 passing yards performance for him.

Yes, he had 2 interceptions but 1 was a Heil Mary while not even being at mid field.  I tried to look up the stats.  While I couldn't find anything recent  I found a study from a few years ago.  It found that over an eight year period, only 1 Heil Mary from between 50 and 59 yards (which is what Lawrence faced) resulted in a touchdown.  20 resulted in interceptions.  Gee, let's crucify him for that interception.

Yes, the other interception was bad, but that's one mistake and some people are advocating using a first rounder to draft a replacement?  He's a young player that is only 2 games removed from being  an AFC player of the week.  Please.

Exactly, it wasn't great, but it wasn't THAT bad either. He missed a couple throws and made a terrible decision on that 1st INT. He knows that and he'll learn from it. He also made some great throws in the game that the people bashing him just magically ignore. Some people are just hyper focused on that 1st INT and don't want to acknowledge the whole game. They'll ignore all the positives he shows and only harp on the very few negatives.

Yes you have to score points to win the games, but you can't score if you don't move the ball between the 20s. They did that easily on Sunday and mostly have all season long so far. Moving the ball between the 20s is where this franchised/Offense has struggled for YEARS. So many three and outs in the past that have plagued this franchise/team.

It's not easy to consistently put together 8, 9, 10+ play drives and this Offense has been doing just that. Yes, they must get better in the red zone, but they're moving the ball even with a lack of big down field chunk yardage plays. That is difficult to do.

Guilty, but that pick was horrendously bad!  Knowing Trevor’s reputation I am sure he has watched it over and over, asking himself “What were you thinking”  I am certain that will not happen again.

Several "experts" have gone over what he was likely thinking in YouTube videos, and he probably knew what he was thinking and what he did wrong immediately. Essentially he needs to check where he's planning to throw it to make sure the defense kept doing what it was doing last time he looked.

Yeah, I gave him Watson and Wilson. Luck is an outlier because of the quality roster he went to and even then he still didn't complete 60% that first year. Lamar didn't win the job and then got hurt. Watson didn't win the job and then got hurt. Lawrence, by far, went to the worst team with the worst coaching of any of these players listed. So yeah, his point that the "great ones hit the ground running" can't be considered accurate especially if you're comparing Day 1 starter Lawrence to guys who either did not play at all the first year or just played a few games. And I wasn't alive in the '60s kid, but unlike you two I actually understand football outside of my Madden collection.
TLaw's problems are between the ears. Like Bortles, the coaches will have to game plan around his weaknesses. The team will have to win in spite of him and not because of him.

Do you eat paint chips?  Just curious.
IMO his biggest problem is his lack of accuracy.
He consistently hits receivers where they have to extend themselves too far to get to the ball. This eliminates YAC many times and has killed several drives (and touchdowns) already this season.
Mahomes just threw an int in the endzone..

Bust..

It won’t be.

Statistically it didn’t look glamorous but the three main positive signs I saw were:

-No turnovers and no throws even close to it
- using his legs and taking smart yards
- leading that clutch drive in the 4th
He did fine today. His run decisions were great and the 4th quarter drive was excellent.

Chris Jackass Boy needs to start a thread about what a bust Travon Walker is now that he’s cost us 2 games in a row since he ‘hates players who suck’ (his words, not mine), or he’s the biggest troll/fraud on the board.
