If we continue to fail on 3rd and 1s and can't score more than 13 points on offense, next week is gonna be a rough morning!

It's astounding to me that this offense can't line up in a standard I formation or Weak I formation and proceed to pick up 1 yard.

It bothers me. As a long time Jaguars fan that watched this team run Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew at WILL in those formations to pick up chump change.

Bonkers. If any call requires Lawrence to back pedal or start from the gun on 3rd and 1 next Sunday? Pederson needs to veto that [BLEEP] and Rauscher needs to be fired during the bye week.

Line the hell up and pick it the [BLEEP] up. It shouldn't be this complicated. Again, what was the point of drafting a blocking TE and RB in RD2 and RD3 back in April if you cannot execute that?

This.

Drafting Bigsby was supposed to help with the power runs. A guy who can chug his legs and will his way for that one yard

I mean, the whole offense is a head scratcher at this point...  Last year, every offensive coaching decision made sense.  This year?  It's like they are throwing spaghetti up against the wall and seeing what sticks.

And the fact that we all of a sudden have decided that bubble screens are the way to go...  I mean, wow.  Run up the middle and do bubble screens.  It's the Jedd Fische offense all over again.  It's nothing like last year.

I'm happy for the win.  But this offense only scored 13 points today.  I mean, whatever we did in Week 1, we stopped doing after that...

Week 1:  31 Offensive Points
Week 2:  9
Week 3:  17
Week 4:  13

This isn't gonna get it done.  And to blame it all on the offensive line like some apologists do is ridiculous.  Dude is saying he has receipts after the offense scored 13 points.  LOL, what a joke.
our head coach just doesn't wanna call plays no more, for w/e reason that may be.

the quicker we accept it, the better

Please stop saying things that are ludicrously false.

They ran that screen play dozens of times last year.

It was talked about on one of the nat'l broadcasts late in the year even.
stating how they line up receivers to one side or in a bunch formation - but do several different things out of that look - including that screen you think you don't like

They did it with Agnew, Kirk,  Marvin Jones and Zay all being the target. Really mixed it up.
It's one of those plays that fans love if it works and hate when it fails.
which is why you're convinced it's some evil thing.  It isn't. It just hasn't worked lately. So you have a bad taste in your mouth about it.

Here's an example from last year. Took me 30 seconds to find.

It's OK if you've convinced yourself we aren't running the same offense this year even though we are. That is fine.
Keep chopping wood.
Just please try to be factual when attempting to make your points.
Dozens of times last year? You and your ability to exaggerate reality. LOL!!!

Our WR/TE bubble screen was ran maybe 1 once every other game or so. Versus 5 times per game in the first 4 games!!!!!! It's a 17 game Schedule. Running a WR/Slot/TE screen 1 once every game or so is actually a good thing. You know why? Because it keeps the Defense off balance.

You know when it's not a good thing? WHEN YOU RUN IT 5 TIMES per GAME!!!!!

WE ARE PREDICTABLE!!! They are keying off on us. They have figured us out.

At least this week Press got back to running Engram across the middle, which I called during this week. (patting self on back). But we're still to easy to figure out.

Just because you love Press Taylor doesn't mean you should lose your objectivity. We ran bubble screens last year rarely. In a game where the offense has 30 to 40 plays a game, running a screen every once in a while is fine. Dozens of plays in a 17 game season isn't what we are seeing now.

Additionally, these screens are never a splash plays of any game for us. They certainly weren't the big plays of our offense last year. But this year, all I see is run of the middle and bubble screens. And neither of them are working to gain even this amount of yardage that you are showing.

It's just predictable. But I guess you like it. Personally, I liked our offense from last year better. That's just me.

I'm not exaggerating. They played 19 games last year and ran it multiple times in almost every single game.

Do the math.

Did you do a bunch of drugs since January that may have [BLEEP] up your memory or something?

I literally randomly picked a game replay from last year (week 12) and fast forwarded through our offense drives and boom, third series, bubble screen.

I also already explained to you how I feel about Taylor. So stop trying to put words in my mouth. Disagree with me - but don't misrepresent what I've said. I don't hate him, don't love him. I'm neutral.

Sometimes DBs and LBs make good plays reading screens. Is what it is. No need to turn it into something else.

Running 1 bubble screen every game or so in 2022 is NOTHING like running 5 every game for 4 straight games, Grampa Taylor...
Watch these highlights. https://www.nfl.com/videos/giants-vs-jag...hts-week-7

Just look at how we spread out our WRs. Look at how we run ETN. There's a proper screen play called early too. But it's not a bubble screen. It's real, misdirection scren.

That's what we did last year. And this giants game wasn't even our best game.

Compare the highlights here to what we've seen in the 4 game of this year... And if you think it's the same, it's not me that's on drugs, Mr. Taylor.

It's OK, grandson.

I don't expect a youngblood like you to understand that bubble screens are typically robust in offenses that run mesh concepts. Or that Pederson is historically one of the best in the business with his use of TE and Receiver screens. Or that we had and have an RPO play in our playbook that gives Trevor the option of handing off, throwing a bubble screen, throwing a slant, or keeping it.

Just take the word of an OG on this one.

I'm not defending anyone

Just pointing some of the inaccurate garbage in someone's posts

Taylor could do better, he could do worse. We could have won every game with what he has called with better execution.
Just stating what is plainly obvious to me. That much is obvious to me.

I mean - complaining is part of being a fan. I get it. I'm just trying to narrow some of the complaining down to stuff that is actually a problem.

Running the ball against that matchup was a good idea BTW. Shame they never got it working much.

You feel great about being 2-2, while scoring 9, 17, 13 on offense over the past 3 weeks???  All while we're about to go against the Bills, who just smashed the Dolphins?  Both teams who scored 70 and 48 in prior weeks?!?!?

Bro, are you being paid by Shad Khan???

You're delusional.
Oh, I get it. New York City, for Jags. Like it matters to you. You just like to troll fans that have actual concerns, and doing all while you're a moderator so nobody can really attack you without the probablility of being banned.

It's just so ridiculous. The offense is crap compared to last year. Even though we have basically the same players as last year. And yet it's the people that criticize the coaching that are the idiots. I just don't think you'll be able to sustain this type of nonsense.

We're the same team as last year. But it's the players that all of a sudden suck? That's a great analysis, from New York guy. Probably a hidden Jets fan for the last, what 60 years? I'm sure someone saying Broad Way Joe gets you going.

I said I feel great about "the win"

No idea what you're trying to do here, but I said none of that stuff you assigned to me.

We won a game against a team we thought we should beat after getting trounced by a team we thought we should beat last week.

That's progress. I'll take that for now and wait to see what they cook up with this expected OL shuffle.

The bills matchup is a nightmare - but has nothing to do with what I said or feeling great about today's win.

It's hard to be neutral with Press Taylor to be honest. We have the talent to be a top 5 offense and all he does is call dumb [BLEEP] plays.. that hinder our flow on offense. Seems to me that Doug is being lazy this year since he is letting this idiot hold the keys to the offense.
