careful what you ask for I guess...

That 3rd and 1 where Lawrence threw the pick? That's on him. He checked out of that play and communicated with Engram and Ridley.

I'm not gonna clobber the kid for tryin to get back in an ugly game with a hero play or two

He sailed a bunch of throws today planting on a bad ankle and heaving it to compensate - is what it is in my book
I don't have a problem with the play calls today. I have a problem with the players not doing their jobs.

Ridley was off. Jones can't catch a cold. There's no running lanes. Lawrence reverted back to hero football and YOLO'd two passes today for INT's.

It is what it is. They'll probably beat the Ravens because that's just what this team does. I can see them going:

Ravens - W (9 & 5)
Buccaneers - W (10 & 5)
Panthers - L (10 & 6)
tacks - W [barely] (11 & 6)

First downs are a waste most of the game. It puts the offense in a difficult place.

Not either. Just calling it for what it is. The defense [BLEEP] the bed the most today.

Well, I feel like the defense got us back in the game. IMO you save your timeout and punt... hope to hold a QB who is fresh off the couch 3 weeks ago. If the offense showed any signs of success all game, I'm totally fine giving the franchise qb the ball there and go make a play. Problem is the O played like dog all game, ONLY reason we even a score away is the defense. Understand the logic, but the game sense is way off by that decision to go for it on 4th and 3.

Also man... you have us for a loss against Bryce Young? I need to start stocking up booze for that game if that's the case.
The fact that we had to call a TO on our 2nd to last drive was pretty weak.  Is Press not ready for that type of situation?  He doesn't have a play dialed up for a situation like that?

Or maybe it's Pederson that isn't capable of planning on those game type situations?  I don't know?

It's just not good enough compared to last year.

So we had 4 INTs by Lawrence.  2 of them looked to be because of WRs not running the correct route.  Blame it on the WR, right?  Maybe a coach could help him get better at those kind of things?

I don't know.  Like isn't it the job of a coach to analyse weaknesses of thier players and teach them how to get better?

It's just weird to watch 2 teams.  Cincy and now Cleveland take on crap QBs and just absolutely make our Defense look ridiculous.  And yet, we have a QB that is tough as nails, and WRs that are pretty good.  And yet we still have drives that just look like we don't know what the hell we're trying to do.

It's just all so inconsistent.  Last year, you could see the progress happening.  This year, it's like we're stuck in neutral all the time.  Then all of a sudden the Transmission kicks in and we look great for a few minutes.  Then the Transmission slips again, and we're just in neutral, revving our engines and going nowhere.

I've been a big defender of Ridley all year.  But this is a comment that has been made every week since September.  He's still coming back from 2 years off.  And I get that.  But dude, at some point, Ridley has to have a real break out game where it all clicks.

It's December, and he's still not on the same page with his QB?

With that said, why are the coaches not on Ridley trying to either coach him up, or trying to get him back to NFL WR standards.  Ridley was supposed to be the missing piece.  Why the coaching staff hasn't had more urgency to get him up to snuff is beyond me.

Maybe the coaches don't know how to utilize him like they did in Atlanta??? Maybe the coaching scheme is too rigid and not able to get the best out of some of our players??? It's something to consider, in my opinion.

Not to mention an absolutely horrid O line. Trent Baalke better get his head out of his [BLEEP] this offseason or we're doomed for good if he doesn't.

Does Lawrence sign his new contract before or after the draft? The reason I ask is because if he sees Baalke squandering drafts again by not getting some protection up front, perhaps Lawrence reconsiders. I know that sounds fantastical, but what would you do if you were a top league QB on a team led by a guy who seems unwilling to address your needs?

All coaching and routes they are trying to force him into. It's been said before but the pre-snap position and routes he runs don't match what he did in Atlanta.

The offense was better last year without one X WR, so go back to that.

Maybe you don't get that he wasn't the #1 in Atlanta and they are trying to get him go be that here. Then when he draws coverage like a 1 he just isn't up to it. You just seem to think that a guy not catching the ball or running the wrong route is on the coach somehow. Can you not just accept that the player is the issue?
Im sitting here on the porch as the rain comes down wondering if I want to go witness the beat down we are going to take next Sunday night? I'm so tired of walking out of the stadium to the opposing teams taunts
Another issue this week, 50 passes from Trevor. Who calls that many passes for an injured QB?

Lol, a coach who knows his linemen can't run block. Not really all that confusing.

Knowing our team, we'll probably beat the Ravens by like 28 points.
This season is still 100 times better than most seasons in the last 10 years. Jags will regroup.

There will probably be more Baltimore fans than Jags fans next Sunday night. The last time they played here, there were at least 10,000 of their fans here, almost as bad as the 49ers fans being here a couple of weeks ago.

The play-calling on both sides of the ball has been bad. 3rd and 1 and Trevor is averaging over 80% on these, I know he may have seen something different and changed the play, but it was less than a yard again. We can't get a freaking yard when we need it!

We had them punting the ball on 4th and 6 and one of our players jumped offside and gave them 4th and 1 and they got a first down. Thank goodness we stopped them again, but dumb decisions at the worst times have always plagued this team.

I would go. The odds I think are in our favor. Dropping 3 in a row doesn't seem like something this team will do.

They're banged up. They're plugging guys in and out of the line up on both sides. Short week with limited repetitions for Lawrence.

I think they'll settle down, sort some things out and get it corrected on Sunday Night Football. We're losing close games.

Not getting blown out really. So, hang in there man. Get out there! Give the Ravens hell!
