Give Frank Reich the same spot.

I honestly wouldn't mind a situation where Reich is inserted as Offensive Coordinator with Taylor taking a bit of a lateral/promotion move in which he becomes the passing game coordinator and the assistant head coach. Gives him a little more exposure while keeping his puppet master happy in Pederson.

Promotion/lateral move?  lol.

GM Caldrac to Press a year later:  "We're not firing you, you just have the next 10 years off without pay unless you decide to work elsewhere at which point we would support your decision and release you from your contract with us."

LOL.

Just trying to be realistic. Press is Doug's boy. Nothing will change that. I think Press did alright his first year.

I just think Reich is more proven, more seasoned and more experienced. He might call a different game with Lawrence and I would be interested to see how it looks.

It's not talked about much but that's the 2 changes. Doug stops calling plays and Cooter isn't there anymore. The way Indy played with a bad QB, he may have had more impact than we know on Trevor.

Injuries had impact on Trevor.
The offense was almost identical to the year prior minus a run game.
We should consider bringing in Bieniemy, maybe as RB coach and Senior Offensive Assistant/Assistant OC, or maybe even Assistant HC.
Thats all fine but who's going to fill the Assistant to the Head Coach role?

He says, "Let me run all the routes," but if he can't correctly run the routes they are letting him run, what's the point of letting him run various more routes?

There was another Shipley tweet that said Ridley running the wrong routes is a false narrative FWIW.

The quarterback and the WR have to see the same thing.  The ball is snapped, the WR starts his route, and half the time, the QB is supposed to throw the ball before the receiver makes his break.  It's an option route.  The WR has to decide which way to go, on the fly.  And the QB has to see it the same way, and throw it in anticipation of the receiver breaking a certain way.  I remember many times last year, Trevor throwing the ball one way and Ridley breaking the other way.  That's what I mean by "running the wrong routes."  I don't know how many times it actually happened, but it seemed to me like it happened a lot.
Talk is cheap. If Ridley has a great season with Levis as his QB and the Titans are competitive that will be quite an indictment on Press. If Ridley is meh all this talk means nada.

This. All doubts are put to rest when it's put up or shut up time. We'll see later on this year. It's interesting though that they also have our passing game coordinator up there now and it'll be interesting what Callahan calls up play wise. The Bengals have had one of the more explosive and interesting passing offenses since Burrow got there, but, it also seemed to work pretty decently when Browning stepped in.

It may very well bode well for Ridley alongside Hopkins. I don't think they've given up on Burks just yet. Also, again, going to be scary if these [BLEEP] end up drafting Brock Bowers, Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze. I don't see why you wouldn't invest at WR just in case Ridley slacks off after you guaranteed him $50M. Because that can happen as well.

I agree with this. Not buying that as a false narrative. It looked like they were clearly not on the same page with that loss in Cleveland. That jumped out to everybody. Even a casual fan could see and read the body language and even the commentators saw it that way.

It is what it is. They need to hope Morse is the answer to help alleviate Cleveland's and Scherff's responsibilities now and that we can actually stop fooling around in the backfield with Etienne for a change.

I agree with you on that. Fix the line, fix the running game, and maybe, just maybe, we WILL see more separation at the top of some of these receiver's routes.
