We're trotting a bunch of scrubs out there because of injuries... but you're right... It's all Gus' fault....

Who are these deluded 11 people? What the hell do you want to wait for? Havent you seen enough carnage?

who are your head coaching alternatives?

It's hard to lure a proven commodity to JAX.

That's the beauty of it not being a salary capped position. Khan can get whomever he wants. The problem with these "big names" is I don't think they even want to coach anymore and are perfectly fine in their broadcasting gigs and living under the presumption they would pick up right where they left off. I would even go as far to say they are scared to return to coaching and potentially tarnishing their legacy. I am speaking of Cowher and Gruden of course.

It is amazing how "next man up" seems to apply to most teams except ours. If you can't see Gus' faults, you are blind.

I didn't vote that way, but what do you expect to be different if you fire Bradley tomorrow vs at the end of the year?
Quote:Well, you got me there. Caldwell has made a few changes in 3 years. Everybody clearly learned their lesson when these scrap heap rejects were released... by Caldwell, after Gus kept playing them long after it was clear they were terrible.

But I thought  you said that this culture encourages players to cash their checks? I just gave you legit proof of three players who got cut for bad performance. After all, if the same thing is happening now, wouldn't it mean that they'd get rid of them too? Dave, if not Gus would do the same, right? But you can't name a single player who you think is cashing checks thanks to Gus' culture?

Basically, you're so upset and disappointed of this team, you want Gus gone, and you're randomly throwing ***** at the wall and see which sticks

Ha, okay buddy! Whatever you want to think.

Well Gus does have family and some kids too you know. Probably a brother and sister too, maybe.

I'm sure you could find 8 or 9 family memebers who voted pro Gus and there's always that 1 or 2 unicorn and rainbow fans out there who also vote pro Gus.

Werd. Its not his fault he has to play the players he picked for his team. Who does everyone think he is, the head coach or something?

It's called holding people accountable and trying to create a culture change before it gets too out of hand. A lame duck coach means players start quitting....
Quote:Judging by many of the Bills fans comments, I get the feeling that they think Marrone would lose this locker room if he had been here from the beginning instead of Gus.

Quote:The thing is, those Bills fans seem to think Marrone has all the characteristics we hate about Gus and hated about Mularkey in addition to being a jerk about it. That's not the direction I want to go.

Bills fans are also jaded by the manner in which he left the team. Opinions on him were mixed before he opted out.
When you have marrone under contract, why not see what you have? What can it hurt?

And Marrone wouldn't be exactly the same? What interim coaches have been successful? ONce you go interim the message to the team is "we quit."

I can't be sure if you're intentionally or unintentionally misunderstanding what I said. It's not that people intentionally play bad and just cash checks. It's that they are bad, are with rare exception not held accountable, and are thanking their lucky stars when those checks clear because they wouldn't stick most places with these performances.

Telling people just keep trying and don't worry about wins is a big factor in this teams results. Be as snarky as you want about it, but it is.

Players can be held accountable but not the coach?

Bradley has done worse than some players who have been cut or released.

I mean he at leasf has a track record

True, he did quit, so I guess he'd fit the culture.

When you find ways to lose 2 winnable games so early in the year, that's on the coach. 5 penalties on their only scoring drive? That's lack of composure and, in gus's words, "precision". That's on the [BLEEP] coach

Yeah, so who is going to fix it in your opinion???
