Maybe I am being naive but I see it similar to when Harbaugh went to San Francisco or Arians went to Arizona. There is raw talent here. They just need a coach that maximize it.

Quote:Hahah that's hilarious.

lol and sad
Quote:That's my point. In town this week, the local media (Martineau, Hicken, Frangie) were fluffing the fact the team could still be in the division title race. Saying things like "7-9 could win this division". Glossing over that the team has won 9 games in two and half seasons under Bradley.

LOL, well then we're in agreement...

I enjoyed thinking about the possibility of winning a few games.  But it really did matter as to how we showed up against the Jets.  We failed to beat a team that has a pretty mediocre offense and a defense that blitzes alot.

Our coaches just don't seem to understand what it takes to win in the NFL.  At the end of the day, we are what we are.  A poorly coached team.

I agree...I believe that Belichick would have this team 5-3 or 6-2 right now.

Bingo.  A real coach makes this team a play off contender.  Keeping BeerGut keeps us a 4 or 6 win team.

Your eyes are telling you the truth. There is a LOT of obvious talent on the team. Terrible decision making has really hindered their ability to win games.

This team is a solid coach away from being a respectable and competitive team.

Add another good draft/FA and it could be special.

Gus wasn't the problem in this game.

He certainly was a problem in a number of other losses this season. So many winnable games that we lost this season.

A better coach would have beaten the colts Texans and Bucs.

I don't know, Frailbones...

I think a real headcoach has us better prepared for the blitzes and the schemes that the Jets threw our way.  We had a bye week to really focus and prepare for these guys.  We came out flat and overwhelmed by the Jets.  That shouldn't happen after a bye week.

I lay that on the coaches.

You can game plan all you want but there's a reason the Jets defense is among the best in the league.

Bradley is certainly not helping his case and I don't think he will be here next year anyway.

Agreed...I think a lot of people don't hold Bradley accountable for having this prepared for the seasons and games.  Like you said, a well prepared team would have handled the Jets scheme better and been more effective.  What about the drives where we missed on a TD or any points at all because of stupid penalties or poorly executed plays?  That's all on coaching and preparation.  Let's not boil this whole game down to one play.

Totally agree.  One play here or there can be put on a player or a couple plays.  But that's not what we saw today.  What we saw was the same narrative we have seen for the entire season.

The narrative is that we are just not well prepared as a team.  The ticky tack mistakes we makes are correctable if we had a staff that cared to focus on the little things that make teams winners.
Steve Spurrior has 3 more wins than Gus Bradley as a NFL head coach.
the season is over for the jags.  The Colts are back and will win the division.  The Jags just need to tank now and get a better draft position to acquire quality talent.  Go after, Sean Payton, a proven winning coach

That's just darn right funny and sad

Fine, whatever...

Honestly, I don't think we even need to consciously try to tank.  We are being coached by the biggest moron in the NFL.  We're not winning more than 5 games this season anyways...
Seems like we get new members on the fire Gus bus every week.

Even the tallest glass of teal Look-Aid runs out I suppose.

If you want the Jaguars to tank, you can't complain when they lose

Tanking implies you are capable of winning but choose not to. That is the opposite of our problem.

Just replying to the guy who mentioned tanking
